Shoke closed his eyes.
"You're right... You're right. All I've got to do is be more
positive." Shoke smiled, his hardened expression replaced with
an almost childlike and warm smile.
"So... we're friends right?" He asked.

The smile made the feline giggle a little; "Exactly, Shoke;
we're your friends." She flipped herself upward and hugged him
again for a moment, then flopped back to position with a smile
on her face. "And don't worry, we like to stay friends."

Ajax smiled again, chuckling; "Sure, mate; why not?" He reached
over and gave him a pat on the leg, glad to see the tormented
soul finally find some happiness and relief. "We can be your
family, Shoke... I may have lost mine, but that doesn't mean we
can't be yours." He leaned back in his seat and let out a deep
breath... Family...

Natasha tittered even more, nudging Shoke's leg with her
powdery-white socked foot before turning herself around, leaning
against him and holding his arm. "A nice little family of
misfits we are, then! Hehehe!" She scratched his head behind his
ear before nuzzling against her shoulder. It hadn't been that
long ago that he had told her that she should have left him to
die, and now, he seemed to be finally giving himself a chance.
"That means I get to cook breakfast for you, too; did they ever
give you french toast? Cause that's the first thing I'm making
for you!"

Shoke was positively beaming, loving everything!
"No, I've never had anything to eat other than nourishment gel.
Are they good?" He asked, excited to start living a new and
normal life for once.

"Nourishment gel?" Natasha said with a dejected raspberry and
'bleugh' noise; "Sheesh, you need to eat some real food! Come
on, let's go make something!" The feline was up in an instance
and flew to the kitchen, quickly searching through the
refrigerator, trying to come up with something to make. It was
high time Shoke ate like a person and not like a feral.

chair at the table.

Natasha's tail flicked about as she stuck her head in the
fridge, glancing about. "Nothing much you need to do really...
Let's see, how about some fruit?.." Quickly she pulled out some
grapes and a pair of apples, setting them on the table before
sitting down and peering just over the table in anticipation.
She was like a child again, with her wonder; luckily, she still
knew she wasn't a child. In truth, she just wanted to have
Shoke's approval; it had been a while since she had made a new
friend.

He didn't seem to know what to do...
