"Well... there's... something else. You see... I have these
powers that I... I can't control. Natasha said that you might be
able to help me." Shoke said, his body shaking nervously from
asking this question.
"I'm worried that if I can't learn to control it... I might end
up hurting people. Please... can you... can you help me?"

"Maybe. What kind of powers we talkin' about? Chaos energy?"
This was unexpected; he understood that he had been a test
subject, but if he has uncontrollable and dangerous powers like
he says... "I'd have to get in touch with a few friends back in
Miana; could probably make an inhibitor and such. Wouldn't be
the first time." There had been others that had been found
before, those who had connections to chaos energy. Still, they
were not volatile in comparison, and they had not undergone
brutal tests like the two of them.

Shoke slowly nodded.
"Yes... that's what the scientists called it. Chaos energy." He
looked into the palm of his hand as a silent crackle of red
energy flickered in his hand.
"But... I don't want to suppress it. I... I feel like if I could
control it I could... help people." Shoke sighed, shaking his
head and dropping his hand.
"If... if it wouldn't be too much trouble, I mean."

Ajax smiled. "Who said the inhibitor would suppress it?" He
placed his hands behind his head and stretched for a moment
before continuing. "The Dominion's dealt with this kind of stuff
before; inhibitors made in Miana don't suppress it, they confine
it to a point. From that point, you can still use your powers to
their full extent, but they will require conscious thought
towards it."

Shoke nervously sighed.
"I suppose I could do it..." He looked towards Ajax, then turned
to look out a nearby window.
"Everything is so... different now..." He mumbles to himself.

"Good different, or bad different?" Natasha mumbled to him as
her ear twitched; it was hard for someone with ears like her to
not understand someone's mumbling. "I mean, Miana's full of good
people, so I'd hope you'd say 'good' different." Her tail
flicked to the side and she scratched her stomach, opening one
eye to look to Shoke. "You should see Ajax's buddy, Armond; if
they can make him a walking wall, then they can help you with
your powers."

Shoke sighed.
"I... don't know. It's different... I can't tell if it's good,
or bad, or neither... it's just... different. If you're sure
these people from Miana can help me... then I guess I have
little choice." Shoke said, looking down at his hands.
"I'm a monster... no... not even that... a weapon. If this is
the only way I can become more than that... then I will take
that chance..." He whispered to himself.

The lynx frowned suddenly; "If you were just a weapon, you would
not have conscious thought. If you were a monster, you would not
care about those around you." He leaned forward, clasping his
hands together. "If that was all you were, I would not be
sitting here talking to you; you and I are the same, we are both
tortured souls who were experimented with and used like tools.
But we are better than that, so start acting like it." His tone
was stern, but it was lightly done as well, if that even seemed
possible. He seemed almost fatherly, even.

Shoke sighed. He was tired, he didn't know how to react, how to
think. Everything around him was new, unique. And now he had
this guy, telling him to just suck up and deal with it. Start
acting like he was better than what he was made for... how does
one do that?
"...I guess your right... but... I don't know how..." He slowly
turned to look at Ajax.

Natasha's tail flicked across Shoke's lap for a short moment,
brushing against him gently like a soft blanket. "You're already
half-way there."
