"Sometimes, we've just gotta play the cards we're dealt,"
Natasha whispered gently, letting her mother-like warmth coddle
the distressed Shoke. She didn't know why, but it just seemed
natural for her to act in such a maternal manner. Perhaps it was
just part of who she was; a mother to all her friends when they
needed someone to hug them.

Shoke continues to hug Natasha until at least a few minutes have
passed. Things appeared to be getting rather awkward... but upon
closer inspection...
Shoke had fallen asleep while hugging Natasha, not so different
from a child sleeping in their mothers arms.

Natasha pulled out of the little hug the two of them had been
having, only to find Shoke had fallen fast asleep in her arms;
she giggled and laid him out on the bench, resting his head on
her lap. "I should take you to see Ajax, some time," she
murmured to herself, wondering how the two would get along; who
knew, maybe Ajax would even be able to point them the right way
to find out how to control Shoke's... Undesirable trait.

Shoke slightly woke up from being moved around, and he heard her
suggestion. He slowly closed his eyes again and softly said "If
that's what you think is best, then I'm ready whenever you are."
His voice was just load enough for Natasha to hear him before he
managed a slight smile at her. A genuine, yet small, smile.

Natasha's ears twitched, listening carefully to what Shoke said
before he smiled... That smile... That sweet, gentle, genuine
smile; it nearly made the girl start crying in joy, how she had
managed to cheer him up. "In a bit, Shoke... You seem like you
could use a nap..." She smiled, her eyes glancing up to the
bird, who had attracted a mate with its singing..

Shoke sighed, shaking his head.
"If you think that it's the best course of action..." He
replied, quietly beginning to get up out of her lap.
"So.. where should I take this nap?" Shoke asked her, standing
up and looking into the distance.

"Right where you were just a second ago..." Natasha blushed a
deep scarlet, glancing away to a pond in the distance. She took
a deep breath and glanced back to him, wondering if he even
understood what she just said. Maybe he didn't. If he really
wanted to go now, then they definitely could, but it revolved
around whether or not Shoke was just going to fall asleep on the
way over... At that point, she'd probably have to 'carry' him
again.

"Hm?" Shoke didn't seem to hear what Natasha had said, or at
least didn't understand what she meant by it.
"If you do not wish for me to leave, then I will not leave. But
then, where do you suggest I rest?" He asked, hoping for some
more guidance from Natasha, not wanting to admit he had no clue
where he was, or even what he should do.

"...Well..." Natasha cut off at that point, thinking about what
she was going to say. "What we could do... is leave Haven now,
and I could do that... 'thing' and 'carry' you to my house while
you get some rest..." Her face was a tomato at this point, it
was so red; she knew what she was suggesting. All she wanted was
for Shoke to rest, after that whole ordeal, but he was a
stubborn one who didn't want to sit still.

Shoke turned to Natasha, raising an eyebrow.
"If it's all the same to you, I'd rather walk with you to your
home." Shoke grinned and chuckled.
