Natasha paused. "Not... natural?.." She tilted her head
slightly, although the expression on her face showed only
intrigue; the hedgehog had truly sparked her curiosity. "Well,
you're not a robot, because you bleed and have fur and all
that... Are you, like, a clone of someone?.." She put her head
in her hands, squishing her cheeks upward in thought. "Well, if
you were worried that I'd freak out, I wouldn't; my closest
friend is a guy who got tortured for half of his childhood
because some jerks thought he was the descendant of a
demigod..."

"...Yes... I'm a clone... a clone created for the sole purpose
of destroying and killing everything and everyone..." Shoke
buried his hands into his face, tears beginning to form in his
eyes.
"A clone created with such a primal chaotic power that if I
don't vent it, I explode, killing thousands... a clone created
to kill everything... everything..." Shoke became harder and
harder to understand through his sobs.

Seeing the hedgehog weep, Natasha leaned over and hugged him.
"Shhhh, it's okay... That's kind of what they expected of Ajax
too... We can change that, you know; you wanna change that?" It
wasn't exactly something most people expected, but Natasha knew
through her friend Ajax that the Dominion had been experimenting
with chaos energy and the like for years. There were easy ways
to handle this kind of stuff... "Don't worry, we misfits will
stick together, 'kay?"

Shoke shakes his head.
"You can't fix this... no one can fix this... it's too
dangerous... so many have already been hurt... so many have
already... died..." His emotional state was plummeting despite
Natasha's attempt at consoling him.

"Shoke, you're sitting in a Dominion territory; the nuts they've
got in the science division here can do anything. How else do
you explain the Longboat?" Natasha continued to hug the hedgehog
clone, rubbing his back to try and help him calm down. She hated
seeing people cry, so she was going to do everything she could
to cheer him up...
Seeing as no one was around, Natasha pulled Shoke close and
kissed his cheek. "I'm here for you; I will never leave you to
cry alone... Got it?.."

Shoke froze when he was kissed on the cheek. He wasn't used to
shows of affection, let alone towards him. After a moment he
sighed, looking down at his hands, filled with his tears.
"Y-you... you don't understand... I'm the only thing keeping my
power in check... if it's removed... then nothing is controlling
it..." Shoke said, tears still streaming down his face.

"Well then, looks like we just need to find a way to control it
then, huh?" Natasha smiled, hugging Shoke gently and pressing
her cheek against his. "Don't worry, I'll be here the whole
time; I'm your friend, Shoke." It wasn't often that Natasha was
so straight-forward with any sort of affection, but it seemed to
get a reaction out of the hedgehog, and the pudgy feline wanted
nothing more at that moment than to make him feel better. "Kinda
like how I need to find a way to control my appetite, huh?
Heheheh."

Shoke silently looked down at the ground, then slowly look up to
Natasha.
"If... you think so..." He said, his tears beginning to stop
flowing down his face.

Smiling, Natasha used her coat to wipe the tears from Shoke's
face. "There you go; now come on and hug me, you goof. Hugs are
always nice." She squeezed the hedgehog tight, giggling a little
as she pressed her cheek against his shoulder. "We misfits gotta
stick together, after all!" Her tail swished about happily, as
she had forgotten all about her sadness prior to it all.

Emotionally weakened, and still tired from the whole previous
ordeal, Shoke cuddled up to Natasha instinctively, taking
comfort in her warm arms.
"I... I just wish... things could be better..." Shoke said
before finally hugging Natasha back.
