"O-oh... So you..." Natasha's face went bright red; she didn't
know he had been awake when she was doing that! Now she was
incredibly embarrassed, and possibly seeming like a disgusting
monster to him. That was the last thing she needed; she would be
crying in moments if he said anything negative about it. After
all, she had saved his life with that little quirk of hers!
"Y-You don't mind that, d-do you?"

Shoke shook his head.
"...It doesn't matter to me. After all, I have seen worse..." He
replied to her, mumbling the last part, hoping she wouldn't
hear.

Natasha's ear twitched; she had heard that last part, but she
didn't speak on it. Rather, she was just relieved that Shoke
didn't think she was some disgusting monster. "T-Thanks,
Shoke... Most people would be disgusted just hearing about
that... Although..." She paused for a moment. "I have...
digested someone before..." She looked around, making sure there
was still no one around, which there wasn't. "Sometimes, when I
get really hungry... It's hard to control myself... Luckily, the
person I ate was a criminal... But still..." She gave her
stomach a light poke, as if wondering why she wasn't dead for
that... Maybe she was just lucky, or maybe something beyond
their comprehension enjoyed teasing her.

Shoke looked up at Natasha.
"No, of course not! I,,, I just..." He silenced himself. He
figured that if he spoke any more he'd just make things worse.

Natasha sniffed, trying to hold back the tears; the silence only
made her want to cry more. "Shoke, y-you were kind enough to say
nothing while others were around, and I appreciate that... Now,
it's only right that I willingly listen to whatever it is you
say now..." The feline hugged her tail, using it to brush away
the tears for a moment as she sniffled. "Please, just say it..."

Shoke silently looked back down. After a long pause, his voice
silently spoke out from Shoke's mouth.
"...I... I guess I could... but you have to promise me that you
won't..." Shoke stopped himself, silently looking back down.

"Promise that I won't what?.." Natasha leaned forward to look
him in the eye, hoping Shoke would just finish his sentence.
"Whatever it is, I can keep a promise, Shoke... On my life..."
Whatever it was he asked of her, she would keep that promise;
she would make herself do it.

Shoke sighed. He may as well tell someone... here's hoping she
wouldn't freak out...

explain his past.
