Illusions of Pain

After disappearing, Shoke was warped to a completely different
part of the city, pain still coursing through is veins. He
clutched his chest and stumbled through the streets, growling
and moaning as he struggled to walk down the street, eventually
reaching a somewhat run down apartment building. Managing to
pull himself up the stairs, he eventually managed to travel to
the third floor, eventually reaching a door. He pulled out his
keys and, still struggling with his pains he unlocked said door
leading into a room filled with computers, robots, and just a
massive mess of technology all over. He stumbled across his
room, almost tripping over several objects he managed to fall
down on his bed where he reached under the mattress to pull out
a syringe holding a strange red liquid. He then injected the
needle into his arm and put the liquid into his bloodstream.
A few minutes pass by, and the pain slowly dissipates, leaving
Shoke lying on his bed panting heavily.
"Oh... wow... I can't.. believe that... just happened,,, I
thought for sure... I was done for there..." Shoke spoke to
himself, not knowing whether or not he was alone. In fact, in
all of the chaos, he had completely forgotten to close the door,
leaving him completely exposed to whosoever would pass by his
room at just the right moment.
Wink wink.

A few minutes had passed when a sorcerer's circle suddenly
manifested into the hallway just a few meters from the open
door. It sparked, purple energy pulsating through the circle,
causing all of the lights on the third floor to flicker as the
sparks whipped and cracked through the hallway as a
purplish-black orb began to form. It grew larger and larger
within the circle, before it imploded in on itself, creating a
small shockwave that rumbled through the building. The circle
then disappeared, leaving only a charred mark of its location on
the floor where a girl now stood in the middle.
The girl - an echidna - brushed off ash from her shoulder as she
glanced around the area, the owl on her shoulder shifted
uncomfortably. Pulling her good over her head, the echidna
stepped away from the charred mark and frowned. "This...is not
where I need to be," she murmured "A miscalculation...?" The
owl, who had was far from amused, suddenly pecked at the girl's
muzzle before leaping off her shoulder, flying out of an open
window. The echidna only blinked at her companion, knowing he
would be back eventually. For now, she needed to find out where
she was and what means she needed to leave.
She began to walk down the hallway until she caught sight of the
open door just ahead of her. Tilting her head curiously, she
approached, peering into the room only to see a lynx lying on a
bed, probably unconscious. Usually, the passive echidna would
just continue on her way, but who on Mobius would leave their
door wide open for anyone to enter? She huffed, stepping into
the room and began to make her way over to the Mobian while
carefully stepping over the mess. Carefully, she inspected the
Mobian, noting that he was breathing heavily...in pain maybe?
She had her pestle and mortar on her person, but...should - or
could - she help this person?...

Shoke looks up, seeing the strange echidna, he stared at her in
his room. He began getting up, quizzically looking at the
bizzare visitor.
"Who... who are you? Why are you in my room?" Shoke asked,
slightly worried.

"You don't look well," she says quietly, completely ignoring the
lynx's inquiry of her identity. She then sat down on the floor
in front of him and crossed her legs. "I can see you are in some
pain," she observes "I may be able to help...though, it's up to
you whether or not you want my assistance. It wouldn't effect me
ether way."

Shoke silently looked down at her.
"...Some assistance would be nice. You look like someone who
understands..." Shoke stopped, sighing.
"...Things like magic..." Shoke grumbled, obviously not liking
the implications of that word.

Blinking owlishly, the girl reached into her satchel and took
out a mortar and pestle, along with two small pouches filled
with unknown objects or substances, but remained silent. She
also took out some herbs, berries and some type of root from the
satchel, setting them on the floor. The echidna then took the
herbs into her hands, grinding them together until nothing was
left but crumbled chunks that fell into the mortar. She then
placed the berries in with the herbs, then cut up the root into
thin slices with her dagger and added them as well.
With the ingredients together, the girl took the pestle and
began to grind everything together, murmuring an incantation as
she did so. "[shadow=red, left]Un suflet strigat în durere,
ascultă cuvintele Mele și-l conduce departe.[/shadow]"
A soft light began to emanate from the mortar, the mixture
within changing from a sickly green with a pastel red liquid.
Satisfied, she pours the liquid into a bottle, holding it out
towards the lynx. "Here, drink this. It should help..."

Shoke weakly took the bottle and sniffed it.
"..." Shoke paused, then nervously drank the liquid. He then
coughed a bit and his eyes started to turn lavender.
"This... is... new..." Shoke said, coughing. He soon fell onto
the floor on the other side of the bed.

Kat tilted her head as she peered over to the other side of the
bed, a part of her wondering if she had created a poison rather
than a healing elixir by mistake. Wouldn't be the first time
that's happen, though she had practiced making the elixir enough
times to not make that mistake. Oh well.
"Did you die?" she asked, hoping the lynx would still be
breathing to observe the potion's effects.

Shoke groaned and began standing up, holding his forehead.
"Well, considering that I'm not fully alive to begin with..."
Shoke mumbled, not knowing she could hear him. He moved around,
groggily stretching his shoulder.
"So, aside from the alchemy and magic thing, what's your deal?"
He asked, his eyes now lavender.

Kat only shrugged as she packed her materials back into the
satchel. "I happen to come here by random chance," she says
"Teleportation spell went wrong, you could say."
She stood, sheathing the dagger and strapping it back to the
belt. "It looks like you'll live, so I suppose my job here is
done. Unless there was something else you needed to know.."
