Public or Private?

Well I've been giving it a lot of thought, but I still haven't
quite decided if it would be better to have the site (When Fem
and I are ready, yep, gotta have a ready mod as well as an admin
c: ) be Public or Private.
Private would mean that only people we know will be invited to
the forum it is currently a private forum and in my opinion
it's pretty nice, comfortable at least, I know who all the
members are anyhow.
I'll do my best to welcome all the new members and help them to
get settled into the forum :D
Public means it would become an open forum, open to everyone, we
could meet some new people and get to RP with them, but to be
honest with you guys, the thought of that is a little scary for
me ^^'
It'd take me a while to be ready for it to be a public forum. I
will say that.
But if it ever does become open, like I said, I'll try my best
to welcome all the new members and help out the best I can :D
What do you guys think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this,
your thoughts and ideas matter to me c:

Remaining private for now and slowly just inviting people we
know would probably be the best start, up to a point where we
have developed enough of a canon; at which point, going public
wouldn't be a bad idea. Gotta get new members somehow, right?

And here's me thinking only the Admins and Mods can poke a post
into Announcements. Heh. XD Natasha is correct. We get this
place running, get people in, and when we have solid
foundations, open the place to a wider variety.
Just remember Saph. We've got your back. And when this place
jumps to 'public', don't doubt I'll be trying my best to help
keep this place working. As will Ajax, Shoke, and everyone else,
no doubt. ^^

That's right Ajax, gotta get new members somehow, and it sounds
like a good idea to me, starting off private and working our way
up the ladder.
It's good to know I have you guys around to help c:
