Patients are for Hospitals

Sapphire sat impatiently in the waiting room, tapping her right
foot up and down, up and down, over and over again, waiting for
the results on Natasha, waiting to hear how she was.
It had been a few minutes since the young blue hedgehog burst
into the public hospital with her unconscious friend in her
arms, shouting out things loudly like 'Help!' And 'Doctor!
Doctor! Nurse! Nurse!', 'Somebody help!' And since they where in
a hospital it echoed around the corridors. Natasha was taken by
a nurse from Sapphire not too long ago, and they had rushed her
off into a room, but Sapphire had been restraint from following
after, she had just wanted to make sure Natasha was ok... But
they wouldn't let her. 'Wait in the waiting troom' they said,
'everything is going to be ok' they said. Sapphire huffed
loudly, staring at the door across the room in which the nurses
had taken Natasha into. The hedgehog was still getting weird
looks for her cry outs from everyone else in the hospital, but
she seemed to be use to having people stare at her like she was
some sort of weirdo.
She sighed impatiently, waiting wasn't her strong point, she
rubbed her eyes before hiding her face in her hands.
"Hello? Are you related to Mr. Sonic? How come your fur's all
blue?" Sapphire uncovered her face and looked up, a small green
bird mobian child stood just a bit in front of her "Hmmm?" She
looked confused and actually kind of tired, "Well?" She sighed
again, staring down at the polished floors, "Ahh.. Yeah, sure,
whatever.." She answered, not even knowing what it was she had
even been asked as she wasn't listening. The only thing on her
mind was Natasha. The child ran off upon getting his answer and
went to talk to all the other kids in the hospitals waiting
room, there was a surprising amount of them actually.
Sapphire kicked back and slumped down into her chair, letting
out a groan, this was it, this was how she was going to die.
Of boredom and waiting. Anticipation.
Before she knew it the kid was back again, with a group of
friends. She gave them all one look and then stared at the
ceiling 'maybe if I don't look at them they'll go away' She
thought.
She was quite wrong.
Back with Natasha the nurses knew just what was wrong and were
awaiting her to reawaken, they had bandaged up the part of her
head that had taken a rather hard hit also, and she would awaken
to see a bunch of smiling faces that belonged to the nurses, who
would let her out as soon as she was ready, along with saying
"Your blue hedgehog friend is waiting outside for you", and
'Yellow lynx friend' would also be added if Shoke chose to
follow.
When Natahsa came out she would see that Sapphire indeed there
waiting for her, with a bunch of kids jumping all around and on
the blue hedgehog, who played with them, "Do the leg thing! Do
the leg thing!""Again! Again!""Can I have a piggy back now Miss?
Pleeeeaaase?".
Sapphire started to jog on the spot, her legs getting faster and
faster until they become a blur of blue, green, purple and cyan,
the kids bounced around and clapped laughing and squealing with
joy, then she picked up the little pink boy mobian whom had
wanted a piggy back, and placed him on her shoulders, before she
shot around the waiting room, she came to a halt right in front
of Natasha once the cat had came out and smiled, "Natasha!"
Before she had the rest of the kids jump onto her and cling to
whatever part of her they could, her legs and arms where covered
in kids.

Natasha smiled somewhat weakly as she passed through the doors,
glad that everything was alright; she felt the back of her head
gently, bandaged up lightly. She glanced about, looking for
Sapphire, only to be surprised as the hedgehog appeared right in
front of her, a flock of children in tow. The feline couldn't
help but laugh at the sight; "It seems you've got quite the
following, huh?"

Sapphire nodded, smiling seeing her friend was ok, "I'm so glad
you're alright!" She said pulling Natahsa into a hug, which made
the kids drop off of the hedgehog, the little bird boy looked up
at the cat, "She's related to Mr. Sonic the Hedgehog! Isn't that
awesome!?" He shouted happily, Sapphire smiled nervously at
Natasha after letting her go, putting a hand behind her head,
"She's got the blue fur and she can go really fast! Did you see
her?!" Sapphire patted the kids on the head, "Haha, that's
enough kids" She said, they seemed disappointed but they did as
she said.
The kids where then taken away and down the hall, separated into
seperate rooms, which had names on the doors, Sapphire's ears
lowered slightly when she realised those kids weren't in the
waiting room because hey where waiting for a family member to
return, they where patients themselves, and they where just
having a play, that's why there was so many of them and no
parents around.
She smiled weakly at Natasha again, "How are you feeling?"

"Better, now. I conked myself pretty hard on the head when I
fell down, but nothing major." Natasha happily hugged Sapphire
back, glad to see some sort of relief in the hedgehog's eyes.
"You seemed to make those kids pretty happy; you actually
related to Sonic somehow? I've never seen anyone else's legs
move that fast." She was starting to believe it herself, with
what she had seen; still, she didn't want to be too nosy.

"That explains the thud.." Sapphire said softly at the head
conking part.
When Natasha asked if she was actually related to Sonic, the
hedgehog paused, biting her lower lip, telling the truth first
was always the better way to go.. But would she believe her?
"Well... That depends on if you believe in time travel or not"
Sapphire said to her adorably pudgy feline friend, kicking a
foot lightly against the ground after she did, putting her hands
behind her back.

Natasha simply shrugged; time travel? What would a girl like her
know about that? "Don't have any reason not to believe it yet.
Don't see why that'd change either." She smiled, grabbing
Sapphire's hand and pulling her along outside; she could tell
this wasn't exactly the most comfortable subject for her, so it
would probably be better to be outside, alone even. "So, you
supposed to be a time traveler?" she asked as they walked out
the front doors, the feline pulling the hedgehog along to sit
beside some trees where they could have some privacy. "Cause if
you are, that's pretty dang cool. And if not, well, whatever; no
harm, no foul."

Sapphire followed alongside Natasha as her friend took hold of
her hand and pulled her outside, Sapphire waited until they
where sitting beside some trees and Natasha had finished before
speaking up again, "Not a full time, time traveller, I mean I
don't jump from time to time or anything like that, this is the
first time I've done it, but you get this gist yeah, I'm from
another time, the future to be more precise" She said looking at
the cat, "Going off your question from inside, yeah, I'm related
to Sonic, I'm his future daughter actually..." Natasha had taken
this subject rather well so far, which Sapphire was relieved
about, she was originally going to avoid the 'future' questions
in general, but Natasha was trustworthy, and someone she felt
like she could talk to with ease.
"I hope me being the blue blurs daughter from the future doesn't
weird you out too much" She said, after which she gave a slight
tired yawn, rubbing her eyes, and giving her arms and legs a bit
of a stretch before looking back to Natasha. "So what do you
wanna do next? Do you need a lay down for a bit with your hurt
head? Or are you ready to go and do something now?" She asked,
as she got up and started running on the spot again, her feet
becoming a blur, the hedgehog seemed to put her tiredness aside
for her excitement for adventure and want to be doing something
fun.

"Future daughter or not, you're still Sapphire; I don't see what
that all changes." Natasha stretched out beside her, sniffing a
little as the scent of wildflowers sneaking their way into the
city filtered through her nose. She felt the back of her head,
still throbbing a little in pain but numbing slowly. She didn't
want to just lie down, but she knew that would probably be the
best thing for her head; maybe just something gentle. "I don't
know what we'd do, but I wouldn't mind a little fun if it isn't
anything crazy."

"That's right, I wish everyone saw it like that" She said,
looking out, "I have a friend back home that still doesn't look
at me right, let alone speak to me as if I'm me, they only see
it as 'Daughter of the Hero of Mobius' and can't get past that,
which is a bummer, I don't want to be treated higher then other
people... I just wanted to be treated as a friend, you know?"
Was she blabbing on? She was blabbing on wasn't she? "Anyway...
Not important".
She paused and looked up at the sky for a few moments, "Fun, but
not too crazy... Hmmm..." Go Karts! Too crazy... Paintball! I
bit too full on, come on Natasha just hurt her head calm down.
What about- No, no stop right there, that's way past crazy.
"Maybe it would be best if you get a rest first? Once you're
heads all good and better we could so some more wilder fun
things!" She was bouncing around excitedly again, but she soon
stopped and yawned again, rubbing her eyes.

Sapphire's enthusiasm was quite contagious; Natasha could hardly
keep herself down on the ground. Still, the yawn was enough to
remind her how tired she felt, and went to show how tired
Sapphire was as well. "Sounds like we both could use some rest,
huh?" she giggled, playfully punching her shoulder before laying
back down and stretching some more, as a cat stereotypically
would.
