SonicVania: Cadence of Terror

Before this begins, there are some footnotes that should be
addressed. Just some basic Castlevania knowledge you should know
before we actually dive in.
First off, the premise is very basic: Vlad Tepes III, or as he's
better known, Dracula, is chilling in his castle, razing (As in
the bad kind) the land with his army of fantasy monsters, and
must be slain or he'll conquer the world. Killing him will
manage to keep him down for 100 years, causing his castle to
crumble and killing all of the night terrors.
These creatures will grant no quarter, so it's kill or be
killed.
Normally, the Belmont clan handles this sort of thing, buuuut
for some reason, the castle has appeared in a dimension without
any Belmonts... only whoever is willing to try and kill him.
It takes place in a more medieval/fantasy setting, so no super
tech stuff. Just magic, Holy or otherwise.
We all good? Cool.

It's early winter, and the first snow has fallen over
Mobotropolis. It's late at night, and the wind is softly blowing
through the city. Everything is peaceful.
Shoke walks into the only open establishment, a rather busy inn
with many unique people celebrating the first snow. He sits down
at the counter and orders a drink.
This Shoke is different than the Shoke we know, as this one has
a sword in a sheath upon his back, a heavy cloak, and is wearing
light armour. He also is carrying a satchel, no doubt carrying
food rations and books. He held his drink to the sky and spoke
loudly.
"Here's to the first snow of the winter, the sleep of nature and
the eventual renewal of the land!" As he finished, the majority
of the patrons of the inn cheered and toasted this event.
