'Knothole'

[I]"Knothole.
Home.
Least it was until it wasn't needed anymore."[/I]
Two figures of light blue whizzed across the forests and
deserts, both showing figures of incredible speed, though not as
fast as what blue blur Sonic would be pulling off but still
fast.
[I]"Where are we heading pal?"[/I]
[I]"You'll see soon enough!"[/I]
Eventually both figures skidded to a halt close to the huts of
the old village.
[I]"A nostalgia trip. Way to think on your feet Madeliene."[/I]
The male one spoke with a smile to his female companion. She was
hardly sporting a smile at the compliment though.
[I]"This place has as much in it for me as it does for you
Madness."[/I]
Madness seemed to just retain his smile, whether for her or for
him, they were there now, and they might as well enjoy it.
But there were more things to come surely. There's never a quiet
day in the village of Knothole when Sonic family are around it.

A ball of bright light appeared in the middle of the Knothole
lake's water, seconds later of which it faded to reveal a Brown
Canine Mobian in it's place.
He wasn't expecting to land right where he had, and so hadn't
held his breath before appearing in the center of the lake. He
kicked and thrashed about, creating ripples on the waters
surface and small splashes and bubbles, hen suddenly he
stopped,it all stopped.
Then he burst out of the water, gasping for air, his face
covered in his multie coloured hair, resulting in him not being
able to see where he was going, he coughed, spitting out some
water, before he tried to push his hair out of his face. He
managed to push it enough out of his face for him to see and
make it over to the side of the lake, which he struggled to pull
himself up on at first, but he managed, and when he did he
flopped down on the grass, panting and coughing, water dribbling
down his mouth and off his hair and fur, he was soaking wet and
exhausted, "S..s..sapphire..." He managed to mutter wearily
before he went still, laying on his tummy.

Fem was quicker off her feet than Madness hearing what had just
happened with the giant splash and someone trying to wade
through it. To her he didn't seem to be breathing. Normally she
would turn away from someone who seemed dead, but a feeling
within her hit her and pushed her to try and rescue him. Leaning
over him she put her hands onto his chest and began to push up
and down rapidly. Madness managed to keep track of her rapid
movements though, and counted about 108 times of doing that in a
minute before stopping to see if that helped get him back to
breathing normally.
[I]"Let's hope that does the trick."[/I] Madness pointed out to
her. [I]"I can't say I'm without my questions on this, but since
when did you learn CPR?"[/I] a bit short sighted of a question
for Madness given the situation perhaps?
[I]"I've not exactly had a chance to show it off now have
I?"[/I]
[I]"Good point."[/I] Madness had a ^^' face at this.
After the minute of CPR Fem stopped leaning over him but
remained crouched in case she needed to try again.

As soon as Madness had said 'Good point.', Robin started to
cough and gasp for air, his eyes shooting open, sitting up
rather quickly he almost smacked his head into Fem's as she
leaned over him.
Now instead of no breathing he was breathing rapidly, his chest
rising and falling far too quickly. He looked from Madness to
Fem, then back again, stopping on Fem.
This slowed his breathing down, and made his heart skip a beat.
His eyelids drooped slightly the more he looked at her, his
heart was on fire, but maybe that was because she had done CPR
on his chest? Why was everything she was doing in slow motion? A
side effect for drinking too much water, perhaps? Or maybe this
was something more?
He shook his head.
His eyes opened back to normal and his breathing was normal now
too. Robin pushed more of his wet hair out of his face, and
looked back to Fem, "T..thank you.." He said softly, glancing
down, it was hard to look her in the eyes without his tummy
going all weird, "You didn't do a Mouth-to-Mouth resuscitation
on me... Right?" He asked, not just to know if she did but to
add a little humour.
"I would give you a hug for saving my life, but..." He paused
and lifted his arms, his fur was still dripping wet, "Would a
hand shake and introductory be alright with you instead?" He
asked with a small smile.

Fem couldn't help but smile at him being back to normal
breathing. She got up and held a hand out to him to help him up.
[I]"Nice to see you alive and breathing. You had us worried for
a minute there."[/I] she said as she helped him up. [I]"No I
didn't get to the point of needing to do mouth to mouth with
you. Quite honestly it only took a minute to get you back
around."[/I] when Robin suggested a hug she uncharacteristically
wrapped her arms around him in a hug not caring about him being
wet seemingly. [I]"It looks like you left a good impression
friend."[/I] Madness said to him as Fem consciously realised
what she was doing and let go of him. [I]"Whoops, uhhhh, sorry
about that, i just totally zoned out."[/I] she said stepping
back. She decided to cover her tracks by answering his question.
[I]"The name's Madeliene"[/I]
[I]"Madness the Hedgefox. Son of Sonic the Hedgehog and Millie
Prower."[/I] he said giving Robin's hand a shake. he didn't know
the questions in Robin's mind that this could cause, but really,
how could he?

Robin smiled when she got up and held out a hand to help him, he
took it.
Once he was up he smiled again, "Nice to be alive and breathing,
I probably wouldn't be if it weren't for you, so Thanks".
He looked somewhat disappointed at the talk of the
mouth-to-mouth, and how she didn't get around to doing it, he
felt as disappointed as he looked, no, more.
He mentally shook his head at himself though, he'd only just met
the lady, and he already wanted to feel her lips against his.
Silly Robin.
When she wrapped her arms around him though, he was taken by
surprise, he wasn't expecting a hug, but he got one, regardless
of his soaked fur, He briefly hugged her back, but she'd pulled
away too quickly, "Sorry if you smell like a wet dog after that"
He said, going a slight red. " Hey don't be sorry, I don't mind"
He smiled. "Madeliene? It's an absolute pleasure to meet you~".
Robin then smiled to Madness, he then seemed to pause, "Did you
say... Son of Sonic the Hedgehog?" He asked, looking the
Hedgefox in the eyes, he then blinked, "You don't know anyone by
the name of 'Sapphire' do you?" He asked him, "She's a good
friend of mine, I can't find her at the moment... But, believe
it or not, Sonic the Hedgehog also happens to be her father, but
she has a different Mother to you... Wait... Millie Prower?" He
blinked again, "As in like, Miles Prower? As in Tails?" Soooo
many questions where coming to mind...

Fem ended up laughing somewhat at what he said about her
smelling like a wet dog. [I]"Oh don't worry about it it'll wash
off. Like you said, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you. And
it is."[/I] she had a ^^ face at this. Madness was happy to see
her smiling and leaned against one of the nearby trees. [I]"I'm
afraid the name doesn't ring any bells straight off the bat mi
amigo."[/I] Madness told him once he started throwing them
questions, and he didn't seem the least bit surprised at what
the dog said about Sonic being his friend's dad either.
Considerably a little bit odd until his explanation came
forward. [I]"Sounds like the multiverse has played around with
both Sonics to me. I don't know about the Sonic that is your
friend's father, but the Sonic that's my dad actually managed to
stand still long enough as a groom to fulfil a wedding with
Millie. And yes, I've heard enough to figure out that my mother
is Tails in this Mobius. I imagine that explains it all? Any
other questions?"[/I] he didn't mind explaining it.
Something was making Fem wonder though, he seemed disappointed
when she said that she hadn't done mouth to mouth. [I]"But he
seems too sweet and too handsome and too gentlemanly to-
HUH?"[/I] she snapped out of her thoughts. Who knows where her
thoughts were going?

Robin smiled at Fem's first comment, but was that because of
what she said? Or because of her happy face and smile? Maybe
both?
He then looked back to Madness, he tapped his chin, "The
multiverse?.... Yeah, that would explain a lot" He nodded, "You
should meet Sapphire some time, I'm sure she'd love to meet you,
both of you" He shot a smile at Fem again, "She's not hard to
miss if you bump into her without me around, she's kinda short,
blue, wears a colourful jumpsuit and boots, oh and of course, is
a hedgehog" He explained, looking from Fem to Madness.
He then paused on Madness, "I do have one more question, how'd
you end up here? Did you jump dimensions or something?" He
asked, before looking at Fem who looked like she just woke her
self up from some deep thoughts, "You alright?" He asked her,
leaning closer, looking her in the eyes, which made his stomach
feel all weird.

explained in answer to Robin's question. [I]"I guess we just
never crossed paths before. Considering how much time Sonic,
Millie and I spent living around Knothole I guess that makes
sense."[/I]
Fem went a bit wide eyed as Robin leaned closer. Although she
could feel herself going a bit 'melted' inside she was able to
unscramble her suddenly jumbled thoughts.
Or so she thought.
[I]"I'm[/I] [I]cute.[/I] [I]WAITuhFINE, I meant to say i'm
fine."[/I] she had a ^ ^' face at that mistake. [I]"Sorry, it's
been kind of a long day."[/I] she looked away from Robin and her
thoughts seemed to make a little more sense. Why did she seem to
be so... differentiated to normal when she was facing this guy?
She shook her head. [I]"D'ugh. Why am I so out of it right
now?"[/I]
Madness patted her back. [I]"It's okay Fem. We can find you one
of the huts to rest up in. Knothole hasn't been properly used in
years."[/I] he cast a glance over at Robin. [I]"You look
exhausted too uhhhh... We didn't catch your name?"[/I] Madness
had just realised that he knew fem's name and his, but they
didn't know his.

"But... How? Millie is Tails but Tails belongs to this
dimension, and neither Sonic nor Tails are married here... Wait
wait, your parents where from another dimension, but you where
born here? Did I get that right?" He asked, with a nervous
smile, multieverse was like time traveling, it was confusing.
But this wasn't the first time Robin was trying to figure it
out.
He then looked back to Fem and smiled, "That's right, you're
cute-Wait what" He shook his head, looks like they'd both had a
but of a trip up, for Fem her words didn't come out quite right
and for Robin, something he hadn't meant to say aloud.
"Oh!" What an idiot he felt like at the moment, he hadn't even
told them his name, gotta be the effects of time traveling. Yep.
"I'm Robin! And yeah, I am pretty exhausted, is it that
noticeable huh?" He smiled, looking away, just as he gave a
yawn, that was similar to that of a puppy yawn, stretching out
his arms before rubbing his eyes, tiredly, wow he actually was
pretty tired, meeting these two had brought his mind away from
the thought of it previously, but now that it had been brought
up.
He looked back at the two, his smile returning, he did want to
ask of he could stay with them, sleep in the same hut maybe, but
would that sound weird? He'd only just them, Fem had saved his
life yeah, but neither party knew much about the other, would
they trust him? Should he trust them as much as he already
currently did? Hey they saved his life, he owed them one.
Maybe he should find his own hut to crash at unless invited?
Sounds like an idea.
"Well as you said, I'm pretty exhausted, so I guess it'd be best
if I find a place to crash for a bit too" He said, turning on
the spot, smile still on his face just by looking at the two.
