Sonic and Scourge were locked in an intense battle. The
speedsters raced throughout the city bouncing off one another
like agressive blue and green pinballs. The two sent sparks
flying as their spindash's met going out of control like
whirring buzz saws. The two uncurled and charged at one another
running full force. Their legs spin out into a blur of colour
representative of the colours of their footwear. Upon clashing
the two break the sound barrier at the same time resulting in a
double sonic boom. The shockwave that resulted in from their
clash rang out over the entire city shaking the ground. Sonic
gritted his teeth as his fingers interlocked with his green
dopplegangers. The two now locked in a speed struggle ran on the
spot one trying to gain ground over the over.
"Give it up Scourge! You just don't have that winning edge."

Scourge gave a glare and belted out as he ran against Sonic.
"Always so high and mighty aren't we? This will end with you
under my boot." Scourge struggled against Sonic loosing ground
as his opponent was pushing harder than he. It wasn't long
before Sonic pushed through tripping Scourge up. The green
hedgehog hit the ground biting the dust. Angered he looks up
cursing under his breath. "Your going to wish you hadn't done
that blue." He spat climbing to his feet.

The double sonic boom that shook the city sure had caught
someone's attention, that someone was a small soft blue furred
black striped tiger mobian with spiked hair and dazzling bright
green eyes.
His tail twisted about in the air as he watched the two
hedgehogs go at each other, trying to beat the other to the
ground, which Sonic managed to achieve on Scourge not long, but
the green hedgehog still got back to his feet afterwards.
Bongo had been playing around with the strings on his guitar but
the battle between the two hedgehogs was simply too good to pass
up in jumping in on.
Grabbing an apple from a nearby fruit stand, and flicking a coin
or two from his belt pockets to pay for that Apple, he lined up
a shot from behind Scourge before throwing the apple in the air
and with his guitar he batted it as hard as he could, aiming for
the back of Scourge's head.
"Yo! Batter up!"

Using his lighting fast reflexes he reaches around snatches the
apple from it's speeding velocity. The fresh fruit squishes
within Scourge's grasp. The green egomaniac bites into the apple
tasting the juices with a large sadistic grin. "Thanks for lunch
kid." After taking only a single bite he tosses the red orb
aside and dashes towards Bongo. In a single second Bongo found
himself in Scourge's grip with a cold steel object poking into
the side of his head. Scourge looks over to Sonic as he c,ocks
the hammer on the pistol sliding the bullet into the chamber.
"Make another move Sonic and this kid's blood is on your hands.
Now kick your shoes off....slowly."

Using his heels he slides off his sneakers complying with
Scourge's demands. While Sonic's expression was one of annoyance
his brain was running through ways to save Scourge's hostage.
Sonic placed his arms up and talked slowly. "Easy there. I'd say
you don't want to do this, but we both know what a messed up
psychopath you are. Look my arms are up and I'm on bare feet.
You hold all the aces here. No need to hurt the boy."

"Not so though now are you?" Scourge said with a sadistic smile
pushing the gun a little harder into Bongo's ear. "Face it Sonic
I'm better than you, I always have been and now you're going to
admit it. Say I'm faster than you."

Sonic smiled giving a shrug his legendary quick wit kicked in.
"Okay I'm Faster than you." He said knowing full well what
Scourge wanted him to admit. The green hedgehog shouted in anger
pressing the gun to Bongo's temple.

"DON'T GET SMART WITH ME! One more remark like that and I
splatter his brains across the pavement. Now say it." Scourge
demanded awaiting Sonic's shame.

Sonic had dark rings under his eyes and his forehead furrowed
into a freighting frown. Steam started to seep from his ears as
he gave a glare that could kill. "....You're faster than
I...am..." He basically whispered.

Having wounded Sonic's ego inflated Scourge's as he let out a
morbid laugh. "Hahahahhaha That's right. Don't forget stronger,
better looking and I've got a bigger....." Scourge was
interpreted as Sonic shouted beyond p,issed off.
