More then just a bad dream

There was a soft knock at the front door followed by a familiar
voice, "Yo? You home? Couldja lemme in please?" Sapphire's voice
would be able to be heard from behind the door.
Once the door was opened, the hedgehog would then look up at the
door opener and give a light smile, "Thanks for answering at
such a ridiculous hour, I hate to be a pain of any sort but
could I stay at least tonight? I'll be silent I swear you won't
even notice that I'm here, it's just.... It's raining out there
and Robin's brought home this... Thing and it's bloody freaky at
night, cute in the day though but it keeps staring at me funny
at night and I can't get to sleep with it watching me..."
Sapphire said as she looked down at her boots and kicked a foot,
her hands going behind her back, her pillow in one hand and a
toy plush puppy in the other. "You ever eat out in public and
have everyone around you just stop and watch you, it's even like
that but worse, you get my point right? I'd sleep under the
stars if I wasn't already half soaked from this rain" Her hair
and fur probably showed her soak. "So, you all kool won me
staying the night or not? I understand if you're not, thanks at
least for answering the door".

Sapphire seemed to have found her way out to Alt and Michael's
old cottage where they had run their old operations before Alt
had met Veronica. The Hedgefox would let off a chuckle, stepping
aside for her to come in. [I]"Even if Mikey was here and not
chasing after his cracked little love interest and my sister I'd
still have a spare bed or... Ten. Heh." Maybe fifteen, I haven't
counted! Hah! XD"Alright come on in."[/i] he told her. [I]"I
don't have Chilidogs I'm afraid McSpeedsy, but I [B]do[/B] have
pizza and a microwave."[/I]

Sapphire let out a sigh of relief when Alt stepped aside for her
to come in, she dragged herself and her two belongings inside
and looked about, taking in her surroundings. "Michael's off
after Crystal again huh?" She said sleepily as she rubbed an
eye, Alt may have noticed by now that she was also in her
pyjama's, did this 'thing' Robin brought home really freak her
out enough for her to hop out of bed, grab a thing or maybe
three and then dash off to find someplace else to sleep quick
enough for her to not even bother switching clothes? Or maybe it
was just that she didn't really mind?
"Saying THAT Alt, almost makes me want to go knock on the next
available door to ask to stay, who even knows what you've done
in all of these beds. Don't tell me, I don't wanna know, just
lead me to the cleanest one if you would please" She said with a
yawn before sticking out her tongue in slight distaste, "No
thanks to the food, pizza especially, it's all yours, I've had
nothing BUT pizza since Robin dragged that thing home and fixed
it" She said as she looked over at the hedgefox, "OH and I
managed to get her on the way out" Sapphire added, pointing to a
familiar device clipped to her wrist, but she was quick to hold
a finger up to her lips, "Shhh though, she's sleeping"

Alt pointed out with another chuckle.
[I]"Yo Ce-"[/I]
[I]"Animatronics. The same thing SPL Crystal had mass produced
by Nibor for the overkill arena. Pontiac was supposed to take
Fem's place in that but she beat us to the punch. Robin
[B]might[/B] be in a mite of danger. A revival medic is already
on standby in case he winds up in some kind of metal suit."[/I]
[I]"Works for me."[/I]
His attention went back to Sapphire when she pointed out the
device that was Veronica's home, a smile coming to him he patted
Sapphire on the head. [I]"You're good kid."[/I] he said to her.
[I]"Come on."[/I] he led her up the stairs, at the top of the
stairs a large posted showed Michael with a :D face, resting his
head on top of Alt whom was looking up chuckling, text
underneath reads [I]'Alt and Michael, Anti Mobius royalty and
guard, sex demon psychopaths loving the brutal approach to their
sex targets, and best friends for life.'[/I] on the poster, the
middle line had been blacked out with paint it would seem. Alt
led the hedgehog over to a green room, the room contained a
large filing cabinet, a scratching pole, a set of drawers, and a
king size bed. [I]"It's not much but... Well you get the
idea."[/I] he told her, holding out a hand for the device. [I]"I
wouldn't mind doing you some warm milk if you like?"[/I]

"Alt just how far away do you think Robin and I's house is from
here? I've already gone more than a few miles and I can do it
again".
She closed an eye as she was patted on the head by Alt, a small
smile filling her face before she began to follow him upstairs,
jumping up a few steps at a time, taking a pause every so often
to ready herself for a jump like she was a kid hopping around in
puddles in the rain.
Sapphire looked about again as she always did in places she
wasn't really familiar with, noticing the picture before she
noticed the room Akt had led her to, "Ew, it's green like
Robin's eyes are" She said as she took note of the scratching
pole, "Thanks Alt, I'm a bit small so a king size bed is way
past what I'm used to, but thanks a million, I've missed sleep
for like... the past two nights now I think, yeah" She said
softly as she put her pillow and puppy toy safety on the bed
before climbing onto it herself, sitting up and unclipping the
device to give it to Alt as he held out his hand, "No no, thanks
but I've troubled you enough really and despite the lack of
sleep, I am kinda stuffed, I'm not that big on warm milk anyhow,
Thanks anyway Alt, I know you'll keep Veronica nice and cosy for
me" She said as she placed the device in the hedgefox's hand and
gave a stretch, crawling under the blankets which she tugged up
to her chin, her eyes darting around a bit, "I can still picture
it's eyes staring at me through the dark..." She bit her lip and
looked at Alt, "Goodnight?..."
Seconds after that was said, Alt may have noticed the device
vibrate and the screen light up and flash on and if softly as if
it had gotten a message or an incoming call, because it had and
it was from Robin. The classic red and green 'no' and 'yes'
buttons where there on screen to accept or decline Robin's call.

Alt was chuckling as the device started to vibrate. [I]"I guess
he's having problems already."[/I] he said rolling his eyes as
he hit the green button. [I]"Probably gonna regret it but
whatever... Altlands icelands. For when ice is your solution,
Alt speaking. Did that Animatronic already start attacking you
Robin?"[/I]

There was the sounds of Robin moving himself and the device he
used to call Alt in the first place over to something then Alt
may have heard- if he where to listen closely- a soft groaning
sound, like someone was badly hurt and didn't even have the
breath or health to cry for help.

Once Robin said that there was a deep chuckle-like laugh that
must've came from the animatronic

they went off.... Ah, I better go. It's gettin late and we both

Alt let out an irritated huff as Robin ended the call and he
looked back at Sapphire. [I]"Mcspeedster, if you're around your
sister when she gets shown the machines of Robin's, be prepared
to calm her down."[/I] he told her before flicking off the light
and closing the door behind him, he then warped himself out of
the cottage, appearing standing on the top of a hill, looking up
at the moon. A full moon. Ceil appeared by his side.
[I]"Anything?"[/I]
[I]"Matching style indefinitely, though the construction codes
don't match anything that were annihilated in that arena, I'm
not putting it past being linked to Crystal and Crystal Robin
though, and you seem to be in agreement with me."[/I] Ceil
herself was also looking up at the moon at this point.
[I]"Because how often do you get it wrong? Almost never Ce.
Almost never."[/I] there was no laughter or jokiness in his
voice, he seemed... Mellowed. Ceil seemed calm herself.
[I]"I asked around a bunch of other Level 10s and Gazza, one of
the mid level field agents for the dimensions with 'Earth', home
of the overlanders and writers, and apparently the Animatronics
are just fiction there. A man called 'Scott Cawthon' as their
creator. Apparently in the game, 'five nights at freddy's', you
played as a security guard and the Animatronics are trying to
grab you and put you in a suit full of wires and circuitry... I
guess that explains why Crystal ran when she'd had her mask
burned off, she didn't look like one of them anymore."[/i]
[I]"And you think they might try to put him in a suit or be
modified by Nibor to do some killing?"[/I]
[I]"I'm not dismissing the ideology."[/I]
There was silence between the two for a few seconds as Alt
closed his eyes.
[I]"Remind me where we left off?"[/I] This caught Ceil by
surprise who turned her head to face him and raised an eyebrow.
[I]"We never left off."[/I] she pointed out. [I]"We continued as
we were meant to, as Ex-Lovers and well meaning teammates."[/I]
Reopening his eyes, Alt turned to face the Orange Hedgefox who
shook her head. [I]"You're a 95-31 Alt, which is powerful for
you."[/I] [I]"31?"[/I] [I]"Big three scenario, that aside though
you're the stablest Alt I have on record at 95%, and I don't
want that lowering, I want you to remember where your loyalty
lies in romance."[/I] Ceil pointed out to him, causing him to
look down at the device. [I]"I'll be watching if things go
haywire with the animatronics. Remember what I've told you
before. You're only ripe for one."[/I] and at that she
disappeared. Alt was looking, with a hint of panic, over the
device for any sign that Veronica was awake and had heard any of
the conversation. After all, so it seemed to him, it would only
take one small thing like a mite of doubt or the other 5%, for
it to be all over...

"I'll snag that last 5% eventually Alternate Madness, watch out"
Came a familiar voice from behind him, it would seem Veronica
WAS listening in and had woken up, and formed herself silently
behind Alt and Ceil.
He device only showed that she was awake when she began talking,
as she purposley made it show no signs of change as she hopped
out of it.
Veronica wandered over to Alt and put her hands on his
shoulders, still behind him, rubbing his shoulders gently like a
massage, "What's with the panic baby? Is everything alright?
Robin hadn't gotten you too worried has he?" She asked as the
continued to rub Alt's shoulders, closing her eyes calmly,
"Remember that my device is hard wired to him and Sapphire, it
has both of their locations and health,not shows any distress
either of them might be having, see?" She waved a hand and a
screen popped up in the air, it was split in two vertically, one
side had Robin's status and the second side had Sapphire's. Both
where asleep, Robin's 'happiness' was boosted and he had quite
high spirits, nothing in the fear factor stirred from his side.
Sapphire's fear bar was through the roof however, she currently
had too much fear level to feel very happy at all. "Poor dear...
She's probably having a nightmare too..." Veronica looked
worried. "Speaking of which though, I know the night is a
beautiful one my dear, but you need your sleep" She smiled and
leaned in to kiss his cheek, still rubbing away at his shoulders
to help him relax, "Come on my love, I'll work at that 5%
tomorrow, let's get you to rest Handsome" She said as she took
hold of one of Alt's hands and squeezed it softly. "I'll do all
I can to help you get to sleep if you so wish it"

what you'd heard."[/I] he said, a slight smile coming to his
face, he let out an irritated sigh though at Sapphire having a
nightmare. [I]"Geeeez I just got the karma levels on the cottage
fixed 2 days ago too! That nightmare's gonna break the balance!
Hmmmm."[/I] That she was rubbing his shoulders was the thing
that stopped him from turning to face her at this point. He
heard her out until she grabbed and squeezed his hand, at which
point, he turned to face her. [I]"So you'd rather sleep than
help her out with her nightmare? The dream realm's easy to get
into sweetheart, we can find her nightmare and fix it. Not like
I need any sleep right now anyway, my trade made me one of the
night when I need to be."[/I]
