A Special Occasion

"Goooooood morning!" Robin said loudly as he burst into
Sapphire's room of the house the two shared as some sort of fun
and friends house, except at the moment, it was being used by
the two to sleep as well.
Robin looked over at the cyan bed with a golden ring patterns
all over it. Sapphire stirred slightly, opening one eye to see
who it was in her room before giving a huff and rolling over,
muttering something sleepily under her breath, probably 'five
more minutes' or something more directed at Robin himself.
But Robin didn't leave.
He out his hands behind his back and strode inside her room,
shutting the door behind him so that if any loud noises where to
escape from this room, any others in the house wouldn't hear it
as much.
He stretched his dog-toes out for a moment when he reached the
soft fur-like rug that rested on the floor under Sapphire's bed,
afterwards which he then progressed over to the side of her bed
leaning over the attempting to fall back asleep hedgehog,
"Iiiiiiit's your birthday~" Robin said softly into her ear,
Sapphire raised a hand and lightly whacked it backwards, hitting
her hand against Robin's face which just made him smile after
sneezing at having his nose touched. "You woke me up for
majority of all your other birthdays, what's wrong?" Robin
asked, Sapphire simply pulled the blankets up over half of her
face.
Robin raised an eyebrow, putting his hands on his sides, "Is
that how we're going to be is it?" He asked, as he went around
the other side of her bed to the side she was facing. Robin
yanked the blankets off of the hedgehog and then pulled her out
of bed, holding her up in the hair. Sapphire was awake now that
was for sure.
She reached out, trying to grab Robin, but not quite reaching,
causing her to make a sound of irritation. "You're wearing
pyjamas for once?" He questioned, noticing she was wearing a
silk night gown, he was used to her wearing nothing really, that
or just underclothes. "Yeah and you're not" Sapphire said,
sticking out her lower lip. The two stared at each other for a
moment "Don't look there" Robin said after a short while,
"Nothin there to see anyway""Ohohoho!".
The two eventually got themselves actually up though, back in
their usual outfits once more, Robin clasped his hands together
after handing Sapphire a list "Alright, now get out of the
house""You get out of the house" Robin smiled, "Go get all the
things on the list could you? Remember to just walk this one
alright? I'm getting complaints from the public that you keep
running into and breaking things, they're quite concerned for
you about it" Sapphire blew a raspberry, "But walking is
slooooow""If you don't walk, you're not getting your birthday
present" Robin said firmly, making Sapphire pause, "Fine." She
huffed before she pushed open the front door and walked out and
off.
Once she was out of sight, Robin opened the device on his wrist,
planning to call all friends and family, calling Shoke Glaytor
first as he seemed to be the first on his contact list here for
some reason, Robin shrugged, he'd leave a message for Shoke to
get to as soon as he could, "Hey Shoke! Bud, it's the blue
rascal's birthday and I thought organising a birthday party of
some sort would be a sweet idea, yanno? Uh. I'll be inviting
everyone, you wouldn't mind coming over as soon as you can and
helping me out with setting up would you? I'd appreciate the
help, I've sent her out and she should be a while so, the cost
is clear, haha, I'll see you soon of you drop on by, thanks"
Robin finished before sending the message through his device,
Veronica then appeared on the screen, waking up herself, "'Blue
rascal'? Is he going to know who it is you're referring to?"
Robin nodded before he started sending invites to everyone else,
"Of course!".

It has been some time since Shoke had begun integrating with
Mobian society, but he was far from used to it. Even just a
cellphone confuses him to no end, and the vibrating of it
startled him, as it always did. A message from Robin? Shoke
wondered what if could be, standing there entrenched in thought
before remembering he could just press the button on the screen
to hear it. After listening to the message he smiled. He hadn't
ever really done anything like this before, though he's always
wanted to. It was only about a kilometer to their house, so he
immediately set off towards them, only stopping at traffic
lights and even then he still had some trouble remembering...
After a fair amount of time he knocked on the door of the house
Sapphire and Robin were inhabiting.

As Shoke was approaching the house Robin was sending off his
very last message, to who? Fem of course! Why'd he leave her for
last? So he could send her a special message with his love,
since it was the last message he needed to send he could spend
more time on it. Even if Fem where not to make it to the party
at least she'd get a message reminding her that he loved her.
"Hey Honey~" He cooed down at the screen on his device, just
pretending it was Fem for the moment, knowing whatever the
screen recorded, she would see when she got the message,
"Calling to say that for your sister's birthday today I was
hoping we could all pull of some kind of party! Already got
around to inviting all the others and I know it's Sapphire's
birthday, but I'll be saving a dance just for you <3 Hey maybe I
should pull out that suit! You know the one, yeah the one that
made you faint the first time I wore it" He gave a wink to the
screen, a big smile on his face, "Anyway my love, I'll see you
here if you can make it, I love you <3" He gave a kiss to the
screen before sending the message off to Fem. "How sweet~"
Veronica said, making Robin out a hand behind his head before
wandering over to the door, after hearing the knock.
He reached the door, grabbed the handle and pulled it open,
smiling at seeing Shoke, "Oh, Hey!" He said, as he stood aside
and held the door open, "Come on in, it's good to see you".

Shoke smiled as he walked into the house.
"Thanks for inviting me, Robin! I've never really been to
something like this before, so uh... I may need some... help
figuring out how to act." He says examining the room
"This place... it's really nice." Shoke smiled awkwardly.

"Hey, all friends get invited to these things" Robin smiled,
"And you're a friend, so of course you had to be invited!" He
nodded, closing the door after Shoke was inside the house, he
turned back and gave Shoke a pat on the back, "Just be you pal,
there's only need to act in things like musicals and plays, not
birthday parties".
Robin looked about after Shoke said the place was really nice,
"Thanks, I actually built most of it myself, Sapphire and I
usually sleep back at our team base but sometimes we stay the
night here, it's more of a fun house, yanno? Like a party place,
perfect for today, huh?" He gave a small laugh before clasping
his hands together, "Alright! Judging on how impatient Sapphire
can get on things because she likes fast, she could be home a
lot earlier then what we might like her to be, which is why I've
invited everyone real earlier, the more hands, the quicker
things get done.".
Veronica jumped out of the device on Robin's wrist and started
looking around the place, trying to decide what decoration would
best fit where. Robin looked to Shoke, "What part would you like
to help out with the most, Pal?".

Shoke put his hand on his chin, thinking.
"Hm... well, I'm pretty good at cooking... I could work on the
food." He said, pulling a book out of his bag.

"Alright! That sounds good!" Robin nodded enthusiastically, "Do
you know how to cook Chilidogs? She LOVES those!" He smiled,
"-Who loves what now?" Came a voice from behind them, Robin
almost hit the roof, "Theres no way you're done already if you
stayed true to walking" Robin said, frowning slightly at the
hedgehog as she strode inside and over to Robin and Shoke, "I
walked. I walked all the way back here too, I can't really read
your handwriting Robin, you're too use to writing quick notes
for only you to read like you do with your blueprints, I told
you Veronica should write the list" Sapphire said before looking
to Shoke and smiling at seeing a friendly face, "You didn't tell
me Shoke was coming over today!" She said, before handing the
list back to Robin, "You also wrote like half of it in the Udumo
language you fruitloop, how was I suppose to read that? I got
down to the good shops that are like a billion miles away, then
noticed that I couldn't read the list and had to walk all the
way back! I'm having a break before going down again at least"
Robin put a hand on his forehead and handed the list to Veronica
whom laughed, as Sapphire leaned against the back of the couch
before sliding onto it backwards, "What's the book about Shoke?"
She asked, her boots hanging off the back of the couch as she
looked to the book he was holding, "Oooh~ Are you gonna do some
cooking?.

"Uh... cooking? Uh... yeah. And um... this book is a... it's a
tome. Magic." Shoke said, trying to nervously cover up the fact
that he was doing the cooking for her birthday party.
"Uh... its... well... yeah... I don't really need any help to be
honest..." He nervously mumbled.

Robin smiled at that Shoke wasn't giving away the party to
Sapphire, he shot him a thumbs up before working back on the
list with Veronica for the moment.
Sapphire laughed at Shoke's little fumble of words, "Hedgehog
got your tongue?" She asked, running her feet about in the air,
"I couldn't help ya wi the cooking anyway, I always either burn
it or under cook it" She paused, "Thats what happens when you
try to do things fast about foods" Robin called out, seemed she
was waiting for that one.
She looked back up at Shoke, "So what will you be cooking master
chef?" She asked, sticking her tongue out playfully.

Shoke buries his face back into his book.
"Just... some things. Some food. Maybe some cakes... I don't
know..." Shoke looks to Robin for some advice.
"Maybe I'll grill some meat up...?"
