Quickly, before he could scuttle away, Ajax grabbed hold of
Shoke and held him still. "Shoke, it's just Rend. He is not
going to hurt you; he is helping us. He made you the inhibitor!"
Now he was holding him by his shoulders, looking at him in a
manner that somewhat resembled a father telling their child why
something was wrong. "Rend is a good guy. He's nice; like Tasha.
You remember how nice Tasha was to you? Do you want to go back
and see her?" Rend had already walked away at this point, seeing
the fear in Shoke's eyes, and sat back down in the corner of the
room.

Shoke took a moment to recompose himself after Rend leaves, and
then looks to Ajax.
"N-Natasha...? Yeah... I wanna see Natasha..." Shoke said,
holding his arms tightly as he got up off of the table.

"Then we'll go back and see Tasha, okay?" There was that gently
smile Ajax had, and he held onto Shoke gently as they walked to
the door, but not before waving to Rend. Then, out they were,
back through the shining halls... Up the elevator... Out those
glass doors... It was a matter of minutes before they were out
into the fresh air again, and the lynx let out a sigh of relief.
Maybe, just maybe, he'd calm down now; he had a good bet as to
why Shoke had lost it, after all...

Just then, a turquoise blur went past the two boys, before
flying back and skidding to the stop right in front of them; it
was a somewhat short hedgehog girl, slightly pudgy and smiling a
great big smile as she looked to the lynx. "Hey, Ajax! Long time
no see! How have you and Tasha been?" It was kind of sudden in
truth, but she seemed to know Ajax at least, and Natasha. She
bounced about just a little as she stood in front of the two,
her stripes blatantly obvious and her paunch jiggling ever so
slightly; in fact, now that she was standing there, she kind of
looked like a shorter, turquoise hedgehog version of Natasha
actually. "It's been a while since I've seen either of you; was
actually thinkin' of runnin' out to visit you guys!"

Shoke jumped at the sudden appearance of the turquoise hedgehog.

Ajax, too, was surprised at first before realizing who it was
that had jumped up on them. "Oh, Cate... It's you... Hooh..." He
took a breath, hanging on to Shoke's arm to keep him from
running. "Natasha's fine; we were heading back to her now
actually. Oh, and this is Shoke; Shoke, Cate." She introduced
the two to each other before rubbing the back of his head.
"So... Would you want to go with us to see Tasha?"

"Nice to meet ya, Shoke!" Cate chimed happily, her orange eyes
twinkling as she looked at him curiously. He looked like an odd
one, and interesting person. But then, the mention of Natasha
was all that rang in her ears. "You bet I'd like to go with you!
I haven't seen her in weeks; not even to have a snack together!"
Looked like Shoke was going to need to learn to be a bit more
social, now.

Shoke nervously looked at Cate and looked downwards at the
ground to avoid eye contact.
"Y-yeah... nice to meet you..." He said, shakily.

Ajax noticed Shoke's nervousness and pulled his chin up. "Hey,
no need to get all scaredy cat on us; Cate's nice." He smiled at
the turquoise girl before giving her a pat on the shoulder.
"He's just really shy; come on, Tasha's probably waiting for
us."
