Ajax smiled as he brought Shoke through the massive gates of
Miana; finally, they had reached the ruby of the Dominion, and
they could get to work. "Welcome to Miana, Shoke; pride of the
Dominion." She smiled as he took a deep breath, smelling the
light scent of honeysuckle breeze past his nose. Home away from
home.

The lynx looked to Shoke as he gawked and glanced at everything
in sight and chuckled. "Heheh, come on; time to meet some old
friends of mine, they'll help us out." With a relaxed stride he
began walking towards the north end of the city, looking back to
make sure Shoke was following.

Shoke, still in awe, barely manages to pull himself out of his
stupor and follows behind Ajax.
"So, you think these old friends of yours can help me with my...
what did you call them?" He asked, nervously hurrying after
Ajax.

"Powers? Yes," Ajax replied. "You're not the first, believe me;
there's even a division for psionic studies." As they made their
way further into the northern quarter of the city, metal began
to replace the marble as barracks and vehicle development
facilities began to surround them. Normally, the soldiers there
would stop civilians, one would think, but they did not receive
any resistance as they walked through; not even a warning. When
a particular building with a strange insignia came into view, he
smiled. "That's the place; it'll be good to see Rend again..."

Shoke tilted his head to the side as he slowly followed Ajax
along.
"Psionic? Rend?" Shoke inquired, hoping for some answers.

"Psionics being things like telepathy and mind control; Rend is
the head of the department that focuses on chaos energy, and an
old friend I studied medicine with." Ajax opened the glass doors
gently and brought the hedgehog inside, waving to a few of the
scientists who, after a short moment, smiled and waved back.
"Rend should be somewhere on the second basement level." Quickly
he took Shoke to a set of elevators and called for one, the
doors opening shortly after to a pristine aluminum compartment.
The lynx waved for him to enter, that gentle smile he wore so
well on his face.

Shoke nervously folded his arms and walked into the elevator
with Ajax, suddenly getting a strange feeling throughout his
body. He could... feel the resonating chaos energy below, as
well as the energy that permeated everyone's being, from the
guards to Ajax himself he could feel them and each of their
unique connections to chaos energy, but then, as quickly as it
came, the feeling vanished, almost as if it was never there to
begin with.
"What was..." Shoke said, looking around after the feeling
disappeared and before the elevator could move.

Ajax raised a brow as he glanced over to Shoke, unaware of the
energies he had just felt. "Something wrong, Shoke?" He was not
experienced himself with chaos energy or it's research, so it
would probably be a little hard to explain that kind of feeling
to him, but you never knew until someone tried. "What was
what?.."
