"N-no no, not at all; I just thought we'd, I don't know, see a
movie or... talk over a cup of coffee..." As she swallowed her
bite, she leaned over and kissed Shoke on the cheek, blushing
brightly. "Thanks for the compliment, by the way." Cate simply
smiled as she looked to him, then took another bite of her
sandwich before pouring herself a glass of the sparkling fruit
juice. Then, to be polite, she poured another glass for Shoke,
blushing all the while.

Feeling the kiss on her cheek, Cate quickly turned her head and
pressed her lips against Shoke's, holding the kiss for a moment
before she finally pulled away. She breathed for a little before
smiling goofily; "I will always thank you for a compliment.
You're the only one who ever has." Gently she picked up the
glass of sparkling juice for him and held it to his lips to
offer him a drink. "Besides... You're too sweet to not thank."

Shoke blushes and chuckles as he reaches for another sandwich.
"I can't be the only one who's complimented you... you're
friends with Natasha, she'd have complimented you, right?" He
asked, taking the next sandwich and beginning to snack on it.

Cate blushed and giggled a little. "Okay, okay; not the best
wording of it, but you get the idea." The hedgehog took a sip of
juice and laid back, swallowing what was left of her first
sandwich before moving onto the next one, eating half of it in
one bite. "You're the first person besides Tasha that has given
me a compliment. Usually people just call me weird, or fat, or
obsessive... Just lots of mean things really..." Another bite
and the sandwich was gone as she moved onto the third. "I don't
see what the problem is, really; so what if I'm a little tubby,
I like to eat. So what if I run a lot, I like to train my legs.
At least you look past that."

Shoke simply chuckles again as he swallows the bit of sandwich
he had and he takes a look at Cate.
"Honestly, I see no reason why being a bit larger in size is a
bad thing, nor do I see a reason why others would have a reason
to think that way." He says, in his cute, naive way that only he
can do properly. "I mean... what does physical appearance have
to do with anything anyways?"

"Well, most of society says fat is ugly. Most of society says
being obsessive like I apparently am is bad. But.. You're not
most of society." She smiled as she looked to him, scratching
her stomach gently and kicking her legs up. "That's why I like
you; you worry about what's on the inside... And you are quite
the cutie..." She murmured that last part, blushing
uncontrollably as she quickly looked away to the trees, their
flowers filling her nose with their pleasant aroma. "You know,
maybe sometime I should take you for a run; I may not be as fast
as someone like Sonic, but... I'm fast enough to have fun,
right?" She chomped on her sandwich and simply chewed for a
moment, thinking about that idea; she could take him for a run,
out to the waterfalls she used to visit. It was such a pretty
place after all.

Shoke looked at the trees when Cate looked at them and took in
the pleasant scents as well, but he stopped when she mentioned a
run.
"A-a run? I uh... I don't know... I mean... I'm not sure how
fast I can go myself..." He said nervously looking down at the
picnic basket.

"You don't have to run yourself, silly; you can ride piggyback!"
Cate giggled some more, Shoke's naive nature always making her
happier. He was like a child, but an adult sized and adorable
child who had almost immediately become the love of her life. "I
run with this pudge all the time, I don't see how I couldn't run
with you on my back! Hehehe!" Shoke didn't need to be fast to
win her over, he just had to have a caring heart; needless to
say, he obviously had one already.

"But... what if I can run as fast as you?" He asks, turning to
look back up at Cate.
