Hospital Season

"I CAN'T FEEL MY LEG! MY RIGHT LEG! OH CHAOS HELP! IT'S ALL
OVER! I KNEW IT WOULD END LIKE THIS!" Cocao cried out suddenly
from his hospital bed, bolting upright and clutching his right
leg which had been put in a cast and wrapped up tightly. The
other four seasons came rushing in upon hearing his cry and
where by his bed in seconds. The twins working at keeping him
laying down and his head on his pillow while Autumn and Markie
checkout and examined his leg, the doctor coming in shortly
afterwards. Cocoa buried his face in his hands so he wouldn't
have to see his group's looks and they would have to see his,
that and so they would have to see the ridiculous faces he
pulled as the doctor messed around with his injured foot.
"You'll be fine son, broken bones fix, you've been out for some
time now, why not talk to your friends for a few moments while I
go get you something to eat?" "BROKEN!?" He removed his hands
from his face, the young dog looked absolutely distraught. The
doctor has already left to fetch him food so his group would
have to fill him in.
Serrah patted Cocao's hair, "Sugar plum, you passed out from the
blood rushing to your head after hanging upside down from your
swing, and when you passed out you fell-" Her brother stepped
in, putting a hand on Cocao's shoulder, "Markie dived and did
his best to soften your fall-" Markie gave a slight thumbs up
and a warm smile to Cocao, he had bandages on himself, around
his head and ears, "Unfortunately dude, none of us could stop
the way you landed, your top half was safe thanks to Markie,
but..." They all looked at each other, each giving each other
the 'you tell him' look. Autumn finally spoke up, "Your right
leg landed awkwardly, AND conked Markie over the head, hence his
bandages. It was.. Really bad Cocao, you almost made Serrah pass
out at the angle it was.." They all gave each other sympathetic
and painful looks, "But not to worry, it'll heal, flushed a lot
of our cash down the drain but your worth more then what money
could ever buy, Cocao".
Cocao looked surprised looking over at Autumn, whom... Smiled
warmly at him. It'd been a very long time since he'd seen her
smile, he winced, giving a smile back before trying to scratch a
spot behind his ear, Serrah did it for him, "Thanks Serrah.
Uhhh... How much money are we talking about here Kim?" The fox
crossed her arms and looked away, "One thousand, three hundred
Mobiams for your leg" Cocoa almost passed out again, the colour
draining from his face, his eyes wide, "Plus another hundred for
Markie's injuries and another Fifty to get your other cuts
properly patched up" Cocao was almost tearing his fur out now,
"I'm so sorry guys..." "It's not your fault Cocao, take it easy,
okay? Don't blame yourself for this, it was an accident". The
other four nodded, Cocao pulling at his hair and ears out of the
stress, "I'll earn it all back, I swear, every mobiam""Not like
that you aren't" "As soon as it's better then, I will earn it
all back" The twins laughed in sync, "Leave it to us Cocao,
dude!""We'll earn it back, together, pumpkin""You need your rest
brother""Yes, you won't be going anywhere anytime soon Cocao, we
will handle getting the money back, you will stay where you are
and stay out of trouble and harm, understood?" Cocoa crossed his
arms and looked away, "Cocoa, am I underst-""Alright that's the
time up, you four are required to leave him be for now, he'll
eat and then return to sleep, thank you for dropping by, you'll
be called later for when it's good to see him again""Thank you
doctor, keep an eye on him" and with that the other four where
gone.
Cocao looked down at the hospital food tray across his lap after
his group had left, alone in his room once more, the smell of
the hospital food filling his nose, he tilted his head down at
the mash potatoes, peas and gravy, giving a sigh before throwing
is head back into the pillow, trying not to let his thoughts
drift off to Mariah. This was going to be a tough time for him.
