I will reincarnate next week (when I get my second gold reward).
Until then I don't really have anything else to do, but to amass
as much Power as possible.
I was thinking to hire a lot of Sworn Swords and send them out
to adventure.
But I would like to do something useful with my buildings to, so
my question:
What is the best Hand/body/unit Battle item I could craft for my
Sworn Swords, without gold, or without the special ingredients
(Lead, precious ore, dyed textile etc.)
I tried to search for it myself, but since I'm only logging in
for 5 mins, and than log off again I always forget, what I've
already found. :P

I wish I could help ya, but I'm still not very good at this
game, so there's not much that I can do to help. Hopefully
someone else will jump in any time now. If not, check the wiki
and you could even reply to this thread for future use for
everyone.

I think the Phalanx is the best battle unit which can be
produced without special items.
It's +12 Battle (+5% Battle when defending). You need 2 Shield
Bearers, 2 Pikeman, 4 Halfhelm.
Making a total of:
6 Small Folk
58 Iron
40 Wood
I hope my math is correct.
Edit: (I checked again and nope, I miscalculated somewhere).
Now I just need to figure out, what's the best hand item and
body item. ;D

Without a fealty building that provides you with better options,
the best armor with normal resources is the breastplate from the
armory:
4 iron, 2 fur and 2 leather armors => 4 iron, 4 fur, 2 cloth and
2 doublets => 4 iron, 8 fur and 6 cloth total.
However, I'm sure that you can get better battle armor through
rewards or with red gems that improves the chances for good or
rare results (I once got a Merchant of Conflict with 9 in Battle
per chance).
Correct me if I'm totally wrong, I specialized in trade.
