she had thought of a project that would help her home as she
grinned then made her way to the main hall.. slipping on the
warm kirtle and cloak her boots she then smiled as she slipped
out the main hall doors.. she was needing to go down by the
stream so Darth said he would go with her as she heeled him out
of the hall.

area-

the girl soft movements much as if she was learning to dance she
would sashay behind the Jarl the trees coming into view.. she
knew what she needed and was glad the Jarl was with her as they
headed up towards the stream.. she asked the Jarl if a thrall
may come along also and soon the thrall was following along...
as they made their way to the stream.

[ -Torvald Stream- ]
-On or beside the warm waters of the stream-
: says to ALL:....
the tree branches were thick here along the banks of the streams
and she grinned as she started her search for the perfect
branches.,, she would look and soon she had 2 dozen large long
branches about 6 feet long and about 1 and 1/2 inches in
diameter... when she had the 2 dozen brances littering the
ground she smiled at the thrall will you please take these back
to the keep please and have the guards place them in the kennels
so that i may work on them tonight... he nodded and began to
pick up the designated branches... while i started to pick up
some more smaller branches but slightly thicker in diameter...
the Jarl cut them into about 1 feet segments and then i placed
about 4 dozen of these sticks into a bag... when this task was
complete i turned and with my eyes shining i whispered
i am ready to go back to the keep Jarl.

[ -Pathway to and from the Hall- ]
-On or standing beside the pathway-
: says to ALL:....
we walked back the wind picking up the small disting upon the
ground of snow i tucked my face into the cloak then meandered my
way back and into the keep we swiftly made our way back and up
to the halls porch.. i hugged the Jarl then stepped back inside
i had much work to do the rest of the night ...

[ -Bond Kennel- ]
-In or around the kennels for bonds-
: says to ALL:....
moving back into the kennels i saw the branches had been left
inside her kennel she would then move to the supply closet and
retrieve a bunch of long leather gut cording perfect for her
task the thought... as she pulled it from its resting spot.. she
then sat upon the fur.. getting one of the 6ft long green
branches she grinned as she swiftly peeled off all of the bark
exposing the green wood... she would get some whale grease and
grease the sticks weathering it to help it stay pliable.

she smiled the soft pearls of her teeth glittered in the lamp
light as she then took one end of the stick then bending the
stick around until the two ends crossed she made sure they
crossed about 5 inches from the end of the stick.. the sticks
shape now looked much like a fish..
taking the gut cording she she would chris cross and weave the
cording around the chris crossing of the sticks until it was
bound tightly...she then cut the gut cording with the edge of a
sorp shell... she then picked up another one of the long sticks
doing much of the same as the first until it soon looked much
like the shape of the first branch.. she continued this process
until all of the branches were shaped like a fish and bound
together at the ends... grinning as she finished she thought up
the next step...

so all 24 of the branches had been made into the shape of a
fish.. she then measured down about 1 foot from the rounded top
of the branch... there she would take one of the smaller sticks
from the bag that was about a foot across.. she would then lay
it on top of the long fish shaped branch she tugged and pulled
until it rested inside of the branch so that it would help hold
the shape for years to come... she then grinned as she would
take the gut cording and weave it around the small stick then
around the branch to the other side and weaving it back and
forth on both side of the stick was bound securely inside of the
branch of the snow shoe. she then placed the second stich about
6 inches behind the first stick and taking the cording she bound
it well also until both sticks were fastened tightly to the
frame of the snow shoe...
she would then set that shoe down and began to work with the
other frames doing the same process many hours later the frames
of the snow shoes were complete... she stretched for a few
moments resting her back as she thought how much these shoes
would help her home during the winter months.

now it was time for the intricate weaving of the cording to
start she tied the cords to the end of the snow shoe she then
measured about an 1 1/2 then did a half hitch then eye balling
it she moved up about another 1 1/2 inches she continued this
until it was laced around the frame of the shoe.. she then took
the cord and went in between the first knot.. pulling hard she
went to the opposite side and going to the third knot she went
under it tying it then continued on to the 5.. then the 7th then
the 9th then the 11th then the 13th then the 15th section of
knots and soon she was at the head of the shoe... she then
turned the shoe and began to weave her strands the opposite
direction weaving in and out going from 15 to 14 to 12 to 10 to
8 to 6 weaving in and out of the sticks pulling the cords
tightly she then went to the 4th knot then the 2nd then the
end... as she tied off the cording... the weaving complete she
grinned as she looked as the weaved corded snow shoe...
she began the long and tedious process until all 24 of the snow
shoes had been weaved together she was tired and her hands hurt
but she was happy to help make things for her home... when all
of the snowshoe frames were made she got to leather binding
fibers she tied them to the front short stick that way the
people of her home can bind the shoes to their feet so that they
can walk in the snowy weather.

she lightly danced over to the kennel door and called out to the
guards they came inside and she smiled to them pointing to the
snow shoes she asked if they would help her carry them up to the
main hall where she would put then at the side of the main hall
to ask the Jarl where he wished to have the snow shoes kept
until the winter set in hard.. as she was not sure where the
winter things were kept and not even sure if they had any other
snow shoes.
