       Nelson Mandela - secular saint?

       "Secular saint"  What an interesting idea? I suppose the
       opposite might be "religious saint".  I wonder what difference
       God sees between the two?  Yet we have this "Them and Us"
       approach.  We are in the barque of Peter.  Outside the Church
       there is no salvation.  What a pity Nelson was not a Catholic:
       he'll never be able to be a saint because probably nobody will
       claim that praying to him has produced a miracle.  Still, he
       could be a sort of 'secular saint'.  So that's all right then.
