       Kaori Yuki

Like CLAMP, not an anime or manga, but a manga creator.
I don't have much personal info on Kaori Yuki. She doesn't seem
to like to be in spotlight as there a lot of pictures of her
around, but I find her to be an amazing manga-ka. Her most
notable works (or at least the ones that I know have been
published in other countries) are Earl Cain (Count Cain), Angel
Sanctuary, Godchild, Fairy Cube, and Grand Guignol Orchestra.
Her style is gothic which usually can be shown through the
girls, who often wear lolita (both sweet and gothic). She also
has a tendency to have settings and characters reminiscent of
the Victorian era (with Count Cain and Godchild both actually
set in 19th century London) with some dashes of modern devices.
I absolutely adore her because she tends to make references or
remakes of fairytales, nersuery rhymes, and poems with a more
gruesome ending. For example the first chapter of Godchild
refers to Through the Looking Glass and the series Ludwig
Kakumei is a series of alternate stories of some famous
fairytales such as Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and
       Snow White.
