Here is the set up!

So here are our players
Town:
Insane cop: Kai
Jonzey
Panda
Epoa
Lyncher: Golgari
Pablo
Doc (replaced by Rianad)
Vigilance
Vigilante: Neo
Third party:
Jester: Intet
Serial Killer: Phats
Mafia:
Bodyguard: wizard
Seal
Cockblock: Steevo
Godfather: jelly
Lyncher must have his target lynched by day 3, regardless of
which side they are on and ethnically wins whether town wins,
mafia or the serial killer wins but must wait for the end to
announce that they won with the winning side. If they don't get
their target, they get stuck with the pro- town wins.
Vigilante may not kill the first night but after that, they have
3 total kills, one per night. I doubt the game may go that long
but who knows?
Cockblock is the roleblocker. Pick one target per night and
they do nothing, blah, blah, blah
Godfather can't be killed by the first shot every night and
investigations do not show him as scum
Bodyguard can protect one person of their choosing unless they
are lynched. If they successfully protect someone, the
bodyguard dies in the place of the attempted.
Jester kills someone that gave them the hammer vote (aka last
voter) or if they are killed in the night, they have a 25%
chance of getting their killer. So they are given 4 players and
must pick one to get their killer. This kill won't happen the
night they are killed, it will happen on the next night.
Serial killer: can't be killed at night, also can't kill the
first night but unlimited kills.
Insane cop: can investigate anyone the first night but the
reading they get will be the opposite of what their target
actually is.
Town: all third party and mafia must be dead
Mafia: all third party dead and must control more than half of
the town.
On the off chance everybody dies: lyncher and jester get the
technical wins.

I think this is confusing as all hell. :D
I also have question about the Insane Cop. Does the cop know
he's insane? If not...that seems like an extremely difficult
obstacle. If so...that seems like a meaningless mechanic that
is easily ignored. But then again...I don't understand how this
game even works so... ???

In this case, I chose no to tell the insane cop he is insane.
I gave it to Kai because he should pick up on it real quick
after night 2 because this Is going to get super chaotic.

Also, what don't you understand?
Herald should be able to help explain it once he comes along

Herald present and accounted for.
The lack of Scrib makes this interesting.

That it does but I have a feeling it'll get weird.
What do you think of my set up?
Also, Golgari target?
Intet

I feel the whole point of this game is to be the one which
introduces the more interesting mechanics - and the more bastard
ones - under the cover of being fucking INSANE.
The insane cop thing is meant to subvert the group expectations,
and encourages higher levels of play. However... This is a
biased setup towards Mafia this time around, what with the
Godfather needing two shots to kill, as well as the sheer lack
of anything to protect the town from the Mafia excesses.
Plus, another thing - unless someone confirms town on day one,
Kai's role is going to put a wrench into any judgement calls on
the town's part.

This is more biased towards mafia but again, town has Scuttle
and Kai, along with Golgari on top of that.
The inclusion of the two shot kill was added at the last minute
due to the fact that town has those three.
I wanted to give the mafia a fighting chance against our better
players.
Whether it'll help or not, well have to wait and see.
Also, Phats has his own game plan and targets to focus on and
Neo will be shooting blindly because its his first game.
I doubt the two shot kill will come into play

Okay so I got put on a Jury today, I also work full time (85% of
the time away from a computer) and I'm on the West Coast while
most people seem to not be...this puts me hours upon hours
behind. I'm already 5 pages behind on posts and I don't know
anything about this game or its mechanics. What I'm saying is
that I wont be a very active spectator and I may drop off
entirely as attempting to keep up requires a time commitment I'm
probably not able to fulfill. That said, I will make it my
personal mission to learn the mechanics of this game when I do
have time, so that I am better equipped to attempt to keep up
with...any aspect of the game in the future.
