• How is your public speaking? : I have no problems with
public speaking, seeing as how I attended a leadership program
during my university years.
• Are you good with people? : Yes.
• Will you use the radio/TV responsibly? : Yes.
• Would you prefer to be a radio host, or a TV host when the
time arrives? : A radio host would be preferable.
• Why do you wish to join the San News Team? : I took interest
in journalism ever since I was in high school. Seeing as how
this city is in current need of new employees, I decided that I
would take the opportunity and apply to become a host on one of
the radio programs. I see a lot of stories that needs to be
covered happening all around Los Santos. However, none of the
news reporters I hear on the radio are covering them, as it
seems. I see myself as a potential news reporter covering the
gang violence, corruption, major events held by the city council
etc. Also, from the news reports that I have heard and viewed,
it also seems that the reporters are quite fluent and skillful
at the language and their jobs. They are the sort of people I
look forward to working with, whether covering minor or major
news reports. On top of that, I would like the citizens of San
Andreas to be educated and informed on the latest events
occurring all across the state, to get more involved with the
politics, disasters or any other things that help San Andreas
become a better state with happy citizens helping each other.
• Life Biography : Hello. I am Damien Vedder. I was born to my
parents, Eddie and Joan, on the first of January 1980 at about
4:56 AM at the San Fierro Medical Center. My parents were
working class citizens, my father being a construction worker
and my mother being an office secretary. I've lived a normal
life as a boy, living in a single story bungalow with my
parents. I am the only child and my parents feel blessed to have
me with them. Anyway, I've lived most of my childhood life in
San Fierro until I finished high school. I went to the San
Fierro Elementary School, and continued on to San Fierro High
School. Once I have finished high school, it was up to me to
look for what to do next. It was either work, or go to college.
There were colleges that offered anything that I plan to major
in around San Fierro, so I had to look further. It was then when
I found the Rodeo Cowboy Community College.
Ah, college. The prime time of many teenagers around the state.
I was no different. It was then when I had started to gain some
interest in journalism. However, seeing how the college
lifestyle appeal to the average teenager, I could not resist it.
I started partying, drinking, and became a nuisance to people in
general. This caused me to fail my first year in college. My
failure made me realize that if I wanted to be successful in
life, I would need to discipline myself. So, the second year of
college, I started concentrating in class, stopped attending the
college frat parties and did all my work assigned by my tutors.
It was then when I realized, I actually had a passion for
journalism. I continued college for another year, and eventually
got my degree in journalism.
Not long after college, I went to apply to several universities
offering a course in English and journalism. Of course, I had
also taken several subjects as minors such as life sciences and
technology. Several months after applying, I have gotten mostly
positive replies from the universities and seeing as how the
university back in San Fierro offers the subjects I'm looking
for, I packed my bags and flew back to San Fierro. I went and
stayed in my parents' house and attended the University of
Doherty. I studied at the university for about six (6) years and
had finally graduated with my Bachelors and Masters degree in
Journalism and English. Seeing as how I am of working age now, I
said goodbye to my parents, and went back to Los Santos, seeing
how my friends stated that there are a lot of job opportunities
there. I went on to become a teacher at the Idlewood Elementary
School for several months before I quit due to the low salary. I
became unemployed for about 8 more months. In those 8 months, I
had started writing motivational books for teenagers, which had
sold quite well. With the money I got, I wen t and bought a
better apartment located at Temple and have been living here
ever since, making money off my book sales. Discovering that the
news agency is hiring employees, I went on to try my luck and
applied for a spot.[/color]
