       NOOSE is an part of the "DHS" aka Department of Homeland
       Security.
       NOOSE's activities are counter terrorism, money laundering,
       border security and more!
       Counter Terrorism
       Protecting the American people from terrorist threats is the
       founding purpose of the Department and our highest priority. The
       Department's efforts to battle terrorism, include detecting
       explosives in public spaces and transportation networks, helping
       protect critical infrastructure and cyber networks from attack,
       detecting agents of biological warfare, and building
       information-sharing partnerships with state and local law
       enforcement that can enable law enforcement to mitigate threats.
       Law Enforcement
       Federal Air Marshals
       Federal Air Marshals must operate independently without backup,
       and rank among those Federal law enforcement officers that hold
       the highest standard for handgun accuracy.  They blend in with
       passengers and rely on their training, including investigative
       techniques, criminal terrorist behavior recognition, firearms
       proficiency, aircraft specific tactics, and close quarters
       self-defense measures to protect the flying public.
       Federal Air Marshals have an ever expanding role in homeland
       security and work closely with other law enforcement agencies to
       accomplish their mission.  Currently, air marshals staff several
       positions at different organizations such as the National
       Counterterrorism Center, the National Targeting Center, and on
       the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces.  In addition, they are
       also distributed among other law enforcement and homeland
       security liaison assignments during times of heightened alert or
       special national events.
       Successful accomplishment of the Federal Air Marshal’s mission
       is critical to civil aviation and homeland security.
       "Operation Community Shield"
       U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recognizes that
       violent transnational criminal street gangs represent a threat
       to public safety in neighborhoods and communities across the
       U.S.
       In 2005, under the auspices of the national gang enforcement
       initiative Operation Community Shield (OCS), ICE established
       itself as the lead federal agency in the investigation of
       transnational criminal street gangs such as Mara Salvatrucha
       (MS-13).
       Operation Community Shield does the following:
       Works with federal, state and local law enforcement partners, in
       the U.S. and abroad, to develop a comprehensive and integrated
       approach to conducting criminal investigations and other law
       enforcement operations against gangs.
       Identifies violent street gangs and develops intelligence on
       their membership, associates, criminal activities and
       international movements.
       Deters, disrupts and dismantles gang operations by tracing and
       seizing cash, weapons and other assets derived from criminal
       activities.
       Seeks prosecution and/or removal of alien gang members from the
       United States.
       Works closely with our attaché offices worldwide and foreign law
       enforcement counterparts in gathering intelligence, sharing
       information and conducting coordinated enforcement operations.
