The rules of membership and use of The Global Family Chat Forum.
1. You agree, through your use of The Global Family Chat Forum
that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory,
inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene,
profane, sexually-oriented, racist, threatening, invasive of a
person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. Any
posts which break any part of this rule will be removed without
warning.
2. Please note that we are not responsible for posts’ content.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of
any information presented. The messages express the views of the
author, not necessarily the views of this forum. Anyone who
feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to
notify a moderator or administrator of this forum immediately
via PM or through the Reported Post system. We have the right to
remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if
we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual
process, however, so please realise that we may not be able to
remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy
applies to member profile information as well.
3. You remain solely responsible for the content of your
messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this
forum, and any related websites to this forum. We at The Global
Family Chat Forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity
(or any information we have about you) in the event of a
complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by
you. You have the ability to choose your username. We advise
that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account, you
agree to never give your password to another member, for your
protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use
another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.
Posting under multiple identities is strictly forbidden;
miscreants will have their membership of these forums
terminated.
4. After you register and log into this forum, you can fill out
a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean
and accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate or
vulgar will be removed. Please keep your profile up to date,
particularly your e-mail address.
5. You also agree to post within the remits of a particular
board. Any posts not abiding by board remits may be removed,
without further explanation being given, or moved to an
appropriate board if one exists.
6. The quoting, or copy and pasting, of copyrighted material
without the prior consent of the copyright holder is expressly
forbidden. Any such material may be removed without notice being
given. If you are not sure if a particular piece of text or a
photograph is copyrighted or not, please refer it to an
Administrator or Moderator. It is usually the case that unless a
website specifically has a copyright notice then its material
may be used. You agree that The Global Family Chat Forum will
not be held responsible for any disputes arising from copyright
issues, either with the copyright holder or anybody else.
7. Spamming of commercial products or services, the repeated
spamming of a particular URL, flooding, advertisements, chain
letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are expressly
forbidden at all times, and any such posts or links will be
removed without warning. Any persistent posters of such material
will have their membership of these forums terminated.
8. Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded,
in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your
ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major
violation of this agreement.
9. The Global Family Chat Forum reserves the right to terminate
membership of any members who do not log in for a period of
three months. This is in order to minimise administration and to
maintain an accurate current membership list. If your membership
is terminated in this way, you will need to re-register should
you wish to remain a member of The Global Family Chat Forum.
10. Links to other sites are not allowed in signatures. Links to
other forums are not allowed in posts. You may however add a
link to your own site in your profile.
11. You agree to abide at all times by these Terms and
Conditions, and any future modifications thereof. It is your
responsibility to be aware of the content of the Terms and
Conditions.
