       Demographic Errata

       Yet another new Errata thread, this time about changing
       Demographics, which is related to but not precisely the same as
       Dieoff.
       I was watching a report from a local NBC Newz affiliate on the
       latest "Atmospheric River" flooding The SF Bay Area.  What I
       found interesting was that all the reporters were either Black,
       Latino or Asian, including the Anchors.  It used to be almost
       everyone on Amerikan Newz channels was White with a few token
       minorities sprinkled in to comply with Affirmative Action.  Not
       so anymore.  The percentage of White people in CA has
       substantially diminished.  It has basically halved since 1970.

       Still though, if the reporters demographics matched the general
       population demographics,  the number of White reporters should
       be slightly more than 1/3rd.  But they're not, not even close.
       Why not?  Because of who WATCHES this NBC local affiliate and
       who buys the products advertized at the commercial breaks.  The
       bean counters must have analyzed their target audience and found
       them to be mostly non-White.
       I'm sure most of the managerial positions are still dominated by
       (aging) white men, just as CONgress is.  However, at the
       grassroots level, White people are definitely in the Minority
       now in CA in general, moreso in the Big Shyties.
       On anther topic more closely related to Dieoff, I dropped on an
       article about World Population declining earlier in the day,
       mainly because I liked the Headline. lol.  The article was quite
       ridiculous though, because wild demographic assumptions were
       being made to come up with an ~9B number before global
       population would begin decreasing.  Somehow they project the
       population of North Africa to TRIPLE.    This while they project
       the Chinese population to shrink by half.  Clearly, they are
       just extrapolating from data collected from 2010-2020.  They
       assume the same trends will be true from 2020-2030 and beyond.
       It's absurd.
       As I said a while back, we won't know what is going on until
       well after the fact, if ever.  It is quite obvious though things
       are not going well in Johnstown PA or Muncie, IN.
