The numbers are increasing and have beccome harder to hide. Not
only China has admitted it with cancellation of the 1 child
policy, the UN admits it also.
A few questions still remain of course.
* How long will it take?
* How far down will it go?
* How will the economic system adjust to shrinkage?
* How will this affect our daily lives and standard of living?
* What actions will be taken by goobermints?
* What actions will be taken by populations?
There are many other questions of course, but this is sufficient
for conversation.

So just like Australia having the same average age as china does
not cause western media to report on adult diapers almost
outselling baby ones, lots of benefits in payments, leave, and
reduced tax don't also cause suspicion of inflated population
numbers here.
As if there isn't penalty for fraud in china using a fake birth
certificate to collect benefits and it would be easy to get away
with. Child nurse visits? Vax record? School enrolment? Taxes
when these fake people created in the last 5 yrs grow up? Also
everyone doing that remembered their fake child on census night.
No mention of how many people Chu thinks have done that.
No mention of what Yi from Wisconsin bases his estimate of 100m
fake people on except that ethnic minorities that did not have a
1 child policy also had fertility drop. Very negligent not to
provide numbers there.
Obviously the rest of the world doesn't have a 1 child policy
either, so that means nothing if the same rising standard of
living associated happened.
This article says 1 child policy was dropped in 2016, elsewhere
I've seen it as 2015. China then wanted to reduce population
until either 2015 or 2016.
The real question is what caused the 20% drop in fertility in
the last 2 yrs, leading them to change to allowing 3.
If china is faking 100m , the rest of the world could be faking
another half a billion if the same rate applies.

You have to remember all population figures are estimates. Much
like Voting, records can be double counted. In rural areas,
people still do have babies at home. The local goobermint
estimates a number and sends that number to the Provincial
goobermint, which then sends it to the National goobermint which
then sends it to the UN.
A census is generally done every 10 years, and for this in
developed countries they temporarily hire workers to go out and
survey areas. This however is still just an estimate, because
not everyone gets surveyed. I have never even filled out a
census form, much less had a direct interview with a census
taker. It's a costly business to try to cross check all the
records, even if they have been accurately counted.
In places like Nigeria or Libya, how accurate do you think those
figures are? China's are probably more accurate then most
places, but it still behooves every level of goobermint to over
estimate the numbers.
The point here is though, we know fertility rates and
reproduction are dropping, most in cities in the developed world
but really just about everywhere. It would not surprise me at
all if the global population of Homo Saps is overcounted by half
a billion.

No controversy to me. Put the inventor in and fasten the door.
With no way out after a few days he will push the button.
Then burn the machine with him inside. Destroy all the plans
and suppress all mention of the invention for all time.
Where is the controversy? Just go Stalin on his ass.

One can only guess, but clearly there are three problems for
Elon.
1- fewer consumers of Teslas
2- Fewer slaves to build Teslas
3- Insufficient growth in sales to pay off his unbelievably deep
well of debt

It's ostensibly true they want to replace gas engines with
electric ones because it's easier to shut off the electricity
than to cut off the gas. If you start discontinuing gas
production some people will get wise to what's going on and take
evasive action, but when you turn off the lights everything goes
dark in an instant. So to channel Evergrande and Hemingway, you
will not go bankrupt in 2 stages-first gradually then all at
once-but only all at once. And with Evergrande slow as
mollasses.
But I think it's more likely he wants to appear to be nice so he
can insert a chip into your brain while you are caught off
guard.
