My old buddy Eric from Stuyvesant is a BULLY!! lol.
He should grow his hair longer. He could double for Einstein
with that mustache.

He did challenge my best friend's older brother to a math
competition in the gym. I don't think that makes him a bully.
What a gym though with that elevated running track! And the
Quasimodo stairwells.

Back in the day, Eric was arrogant, but not a bully. I can see
how he evolved into one though.

Interesting history.
As I said, I can see how he evolved this way. He was so damn
smart he had little respect for anyone not as smart as he was.
The only reasons we were friends is because our last names begin
with the same letter so I sat right behind him in many classes
and I could beat him playing Chess at lunch. lol.
We had gym together also in that crummy space. Was Thrush still
the PE teacher when you went?

The only PE teacher I remember was Sharkey, he had a mustache if
I recall correctly.

Thrush was ANCIENT when I was there. Probably croaked before
you arrived. I think I remember Sharkey though. Lowenthal in
History? Also ancient. How about Mr Price in Chemistry? He
was one of my favorites.

I don't know any of those you mentioned. My favorite teacher was
Demas for 10th grade biology because she chose to send me to
Rockefeller Univ. for a lecture primarily for senior HS
students. The worst was Greenfield, who did not put me in honors
math after getting a 98 in geometry. After my first term I was
hit with chronic depression due to family stress and **** up
genetics. There is some evidence to suggest that I am the
product of 800 years of first cousin marriages and lord knows
what else.
I had Touhey for 11th or 12th grade math. A few years ago I
watched a documentary of Sri Ramana Maharshi, it included one of
his acolytes who looked like a hologram of Touhey.
So glad I did not get a chance to devote myself to science,
though.

I had Touhey also.
My main mentor in writing was Frank McCourt. Of Angela's Ashes
fame. I had him for Journalism.
