The article appears to conflate low inventories with an actual
lack. Diesel is just a manufactured product, and certainly there
is no scarcity of the thing it is manufactured from. So lack of
diesel is the result of refineries manufacturing lots of stuff,
and one of them is diesel, and they aren't manufacturing enough.
Another is refusing Russian imports, not yet made up for by
European imports.

Russian imports.

So diesel inventories are low. But the US isn't running out of
the stuff. Someone just doing the faux fear thing. Not quite
