Food Errata

Digwe,
That was very interesting and informative. Mrs. Dog and I are
dog people so I got her to read it. As city people we are in
awe of your self reliance.

Jeez. Thanks you guys. Aw shucks.
One of the reasons I posted this was to try and lure Farm Girl
into adding to this discussion. If she is the same Farm Girl,
she knows far more about homesteading, critters, self-reliance
etc. than I will ever be able to learn.

I think she's the same one. If so, I interviewed her a few
years back. Still up on YouTube.

Wet Autumn and Winter is posing a problem sewing cereals this
year in Eastern States I am told. Need a few weeks of no rain to
get into paddocks.
If you can get it in it should be a good crop with amount of
moisture in the ground.
The vagueries of dry area farming: too dry, too wet or just
right and bumper crops means low prices.

2 Billion crickets per year. 9,000 metric tons and already 2
years of orders booked

Crickets. Canadian crickets. I'm raising meal- worms , but for
the chickens. I wonder if Klaus Schwab eats crickets.

Real Cannibals refer to Human Meat as " Long Pig", supposedly
because it tastes like Pork. Anyhow, I'll pass on this for now.

I know a number of human beings that deserve to be called pigs,
but it's not clear where the the long part comes from.
The other thing not clear is why the company would want to claim
it tastes like people, as in soy-lent green. As you remarked, it
is not a good marketing strategy.
