I like that.
Making money from nothing at all is finance capitalism.
A particularly bad thing about finance capital is it demands
short term profits. It is impatient capital and is the most
cancerous kind.

Olivia Newton-John dies, aged 73
Olivia Newton John has died after a battle with breast cancer.

Beloved Australian singer and actor Olivia Newton-John has died,
the star’s family confirmed on Tuesday morning.
Newton-John was 73.
She died “peacefully” at her home in southern California,
according to her husband John Easterling.

“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years
sharing her journey with breast cancer,” Mr Easterling said in a
statement posted to Facebook.
“Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant
medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund,
dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.”
Fellow musicians and Hollywood greats are remembering the
“iconic” performer.
John Travolta, who played ‘Danny’ to Newton-John’s ‘Sandy’ in
the 1978 hit musical Grease, said his friend made an “incredible
impact”.
“My dearest Olivia, you made all our lives so much better,”
Travolta wrote.
“I love you so much. See you down the road and we will all be
together again.
“Yours from the first moment I saw you.”
Newton-John and Travolta became friends on the set of Grease.

He signed his tribute, “your Danny, your John”.
Newton-John was one of the biggest pop stars of the 1970s and
has won multiple Grammy awards. One of her biggest hit songs was
‘Let’s Get Physical’ which sold over two million copies and was
number one on the Billboard charts for 10 consecutive weeks at
the end of 1981.
Born in Cambridge, England in 1948, Newton-John moved with her
family to Melbourne at the age of five when her father was
appointed Master of the prestigious Ormond College.
She was educated at University High School, opposite the
College, before pursuing a music career in Britain and then
moving to the US.
‘I need to enjoy my life’
Newton-John is survived by her husband and her only child to a
previous marriage, 36-year-old daughter Chloe Lattanzi.
Family has not confirmed the cause of death. But they did cite
her long illness.
Newton-John had been open about her breast cancer diagnosis and
had used her platform to help other survivors.

“Denial is really good!” Newton-John joked in a 2019 interview
with CBS Mornings when asked about how she was coping.
“But it was consuming my day. And after a time, I went, ‘You
know what? I don’t know what my time is, but I need to enjoy my
life.
“So, I’m going to eat a cookie if I want it.
“And I’m gonna have a cup of tea if I want it. And if I wanna
have a little bit of wine, I’m gonna do that.
“Because the joy of life and everyday living has to be a part of
that healing process as well.”
