       Rapid Intensification

       Rapid Intensification is a relatively new term in Weather
       Forecasting, defined as an increase in tropical storm force
       winds of 35 Knots in a 24 hour period.
       I'd like to extend this idea to the Winds of Collapse.
       Collapse has been moving along through the Civilization Ocean
       for the past few years as a Cat 1 Hurricane. Bad when it hits a
       given location, but not generally horrible.  In the last few
       weeks it has appeared to me to have intensified to a Cat 2, and
       is close to hitting Major Hurricane status of Cat 3.  The
       stories of energy disruptions and supply chain disruptions are
       rapidly multiplying in the newz.  The Covid Pandemic is swamping
       many hospitals in many states, with over-capacity ICU beds and
       exhausted staff.  The FSoA is once again facing down one of
       those ridiculous "Debt Ceiling" limits in CONgress.  The Chinese
       RE Market is starting to crumble.
       All in all, this seems like "Perfect Storm" conditions to me,
       with further Intensification ahead.  We're not at Cat 5 yet, but
       we're getting there.
       Board up the windows and check your Emergency Preps.  Remember,
       October is the traditional month for Stock Market crashes.  Lock
       & Load.

       I agree. Very good analogy.  Into the mix is a worsening climate
       crisis which will result in much higher food prices next year -
       at least.  And then there is the geo-political tension,
       accelerating as the empire recedes.
