The first RECORDED collapse. Since Ag began about 10,000 years
before that,I'll bet there were prior ones.
Then there was the Collapse 75,000 years ago when the population
of Homo Sap bottlenecked down to 10,000 human souls, or about
1000 breeding pairs. That can happen again also.

Hey KDog thanks for posting this. I'd actually noticed it
before as I browse history documentaries once in a while - but
I'd passed, thinking I'd get back to it. With your pointing it
in our direction I've moved it to the top of the list.
Fascinating time in human history.

Cline's hypothesis seems pretty sound to me. Basically the
domino effect with climate change as the initial spark. Add a
few earthquakes and voila'. I found the lack of any evidence of
disease to be very surprising. Once the other factors of
drought and famine kicked in the interruption of trade routes
(supply chain) was inevitable.
I'd heard the "Sea People" answer as the cause of Bronze Age
collapse previously, but that certainly was incomplete.
