Well, fossil fuel scarcity claims in the past didn't work out so
well for the credibility of those doing the claiming, so why
rock the boat with more? Until Joe Sixpack can't get fuel for
his truck (price isn't the metric here, no fuel at the pump is),
his behavior isn't about to change. No one is going to tell him
that he needs a bunch of batteries to run his monster truck, no
siree. As far as well fed CEO's, they aren't about to let the
cat out of the bag even if they knew anything on the topic.

Local Aldi store only has a few dozen on the shelf rather than
the usual 2 pallets. Probably due to some panic buying, as they
seem to be the only supermarket with supply. Got rid of my 4
remaining chickens 6 months ago. Doh!
At local Aldi all other staples seemed ok despite reported
vegetable shortage. Plenty of meat and veges on the shelf.
Plenty of frozen veges too.
Plenty of bread and flour, but my prediction is there will be a
shortage wen people start to read about wheat crop failures and
hoard in next 12 months.
