I agree: last one has not ended.
       Shortages also feeding inflation.
       I still cant get:
Any Rifle primers; large, small, magnum etc. (4 months ago was
shotgun primers, which are now in stock, but no powder)
       Any pistol primers.
       Any pistol powder.
       Any shotgun powder.
       Any lead shot.
Any US made powders at all: Hodgdon, Alliant, Winchester. (I am
       after some Pyrodex)
Most local ADI rifle powders are available except faster powders
such as 2205 which is probably getting used as a substitute for
       pistol powder. (Just no primers).
Ammunition has about doubled in price from 18 months ago, and a
lot of shortages of some brands.
For the cheapest brands it is now $0.15 per round for 22LR.
       $0.50 for 22WMR, $1.20 for 223 and $1.75 for 308. 12G is
reasonably cheap at $0.50 a shot for trap loads. Cant get powder
or shot so no one is reloading anyway. Instead of loading slugs
I have cut open a few 1oz trap loads and used them. Seems to
work well. Will get myself a SG mould next, but none available
       at the moment from Lee.
I cant get 7mm projectiles for less that $1.00 each, so now
       casting my own.
Cars are interesting. Prices have gone up for good second hand
vehicles, and lots pf shortages of popular new models.
I know there is a 12 month wait on Toyota RAV4.
Work has a 6 Months wait on a Totota Hilux for me, as my 12 year
old Triton ute is about stuffed. There is very limited supply
and options available, and this is the best selling car here in
Oz. Similar shortages I am told on Ford Ranger and Nissan
       Navarra.
Fuel briefly saw $2.00 a litre. ($7.50 a gallon), but have come
down a bit to $1.50 a litre for now.
My son cant get electronic components for his gadgets and
hobbies. CPU's and drivers I think are his biggest problems. He
is buying up junk computers and electronics from the local tip
shop and ratting them for bits. He says work has a 6 month wait
on Apple laptops. He works in IT with a bank, so it is not
       generic stuff.
       No real food shortages. Yet.
$1.00 oz = $0.73 merikan at the moment.

I don't reload- so can't speak to the powder issue. I do recall
the local sporting goods store recently advertising that
       'primers are back".
Ammo is now readily available in the most common calibers, but
of course the price never came back to where it was pre-covid
panic. I'm in the process of replacing some of the crap I had
to buy when filling out the needs list 2 years ago. When
figuring in the currency difference, your prices seem to be
right in the range I'm seeing.
Being an old fart, I still shoot .45 acp and I'm noticing
decent, but not specialty, rounds at about .60 cents which is
       down a little but still 25 - 30 cents above the pre-pandemic
       level.
I'm about to sell a 2003 Jeep Rubicon so will be exploring that
       market.
No food "shortages" but seeing some rationing at Cosco.

45 ACP: $3.00 per round at local gun shop!

Wont be popular here as 9mm or 357, which is in a few lever
guns. Also hand guns license is a bit of a hassle in Oz. Some
additional big hoops to jump through in addition to A and B
       firearms license.
45ACP also never used in Oz military so no nostalgia. 455
Webley, 38 special and 9mm were military sidearm calibers here.
I believe there were a few Thompsons used in WW2, but mainly the
Sten, Owen, and later the F1 in 9mm. Sidearm was Browning
Hi-power in 9mm when I did basic a long time ago.
Cheapest I could find local was $2.30

That's is Oz pesos so a little cheaper but not much.

       JOW
9mm is hugely popular. Many of the revolver rounds are somewhat
more difficult to find - but no longer impossible. As I
understand, there are many lever guns in handgun caliber around,
.44mag, .357, and some of the newer big handgun rounds I'm
       unfamiliar with.
The old .45 ACP is just something I'm comfy with. Old, heavy
and slow - fits me well. Good penetration. Just seems to plow
on through. I had to shoot a small bear with my old 1911 many
years ago. Did the job. Since, I've put down various critters
with .45, and I find I don't have to be quite as precise as I do
with a 9. I know, the brass is the size of a shot glass.
I am thinking of getting a pistol caliber carbine for my wife.
She was in a car wreck about 20 years ago that left her with a
weak shoulder and she's got some arthritis that weakens her
right hand. She can shoot the .22 all day but can't handle the
recoil from the .223. So, I'm thinking of the Ruger PC carbine.
It's supposed to be effective out to about 100 yards with the
right ammo. Unlikely she'll have to shoot that far. She can
handle the 9 in a handgun so I think the carbine may work for
her. I wouldn't hesitate to take a good shot at a coyote with
it, but it sure wouldn't be my choice for a deer rifle.
Now that ammo is more plentiful I intend to start shooting a
little more. The muscle memory and eye hand coordination fades
at my age. Need to keep working at it.
