I can't believe they mentioned waiting in line at a Starbucks in
this thing. This is not good for my mental health. I usually
give solipsism only a passing thought reminding myself that
solipsism is deep thought for a weak mind.

Knowing what we do about range and capacity of EVs this 8-minute
commercial did a good job putting lipstick on a pig.
You make it with a 5 foot bed because that is most popular?
No, you make it 6 feet long and customers are going to be pissed
off by the total lack of range.
Some Fords once had little chrome letters that spelled F-O-R-D
across the back trunk. A buddy in High School popped his out
and rearranged them to spell D-O-R-F. Knowing what I do now
about American History if a Ford Truck comes out with
re-arrangable letters I'm going to make a kit that will allow
you to replace the letters and spell out N-A-Z-I.
In honor of old Henry.
The bit about running your house when the power goes out. A
prayer to maintain the status-quo. Blessings from heaven. This
truck will protect you. Keeps the bean sprouts in the
hydroponic garden growing after climate change knocks out the
power. Is that cool or what! Next years model will save your
immortal soul.

* If extras can take the base price from only one and a half
years at $15 an hour (forgetting about taxes and necessary
expenses like food to stay alive). to over two and a half years
fully loaded, throw a McMansion to plug the beast into for
another 650K. Do a thirty year mortgage for the whole thing.
Since none of us have that much time left it would be a very
good deal.

I think the bed should be long enough for the average person to
sleep without dropping the tailgate, in case you have to live in
it. Say 5'10" or so,

Tall people better stay alive. For them the truck won't work as
an electric hearse. But that's ok. I'm not quite totally bored
with the nonsense we live in yet. My disgust is still mixed
with wonder. I'll hang around a while longer. Maybe in time
they will make one that will fit me.
Mention was made of a prep area for meals on the drivers
console. Which is good. Somebody somewhere is going to find
themselves in circumstances where one of these becomes their
home.
Making the question if they will be lucky bastards very
philosophical.

As a trades person I am impressed by the inverter. Ev people
have been hacking their auxiliary 12 volt battery for a while
with inverters but to include 9.6 kw of inverter fed from the
main battery is a great idea. The fleet people are going to love
it and there are thousands of them...
