Unfortunate that you think so. I can only offer that if Hawking
could continue to do what he did in his condition, you are in
far better shape, and while not a Hawking, there must be a
significant arena you can contribute to.

If Hawking did not have people to care for him he would have bee

Of course. And RE has his state sponsored helper show up at
semi-regular intervals.

I only watched the first half. The pyramid is mentioned. Both
women have a strong socialist bent and are familiar to me. One
thing the YouTube algorithm is good at is pairing up people you
have seen before. I have seen both these women in videos, but
not together.
It is a good watch.
Maslow's pyramid itself is valid, as is the comment that America
ignores it and turns it on its head.

capitalism from falling apart.
The part about glue I added myself. So I guess I just authored
a quote. I am going to put it on my website.

Steven Hawking was a hoaxter. I wrote the damn information sheet
on Motor Neurone Disease for the Neurological Centre in the 90s
and saw the sufferers. They were all deteriorating and dying.
When was Hawking first famous, 80s or 90s? It doesn't matter,
he died only a few years ago and whether he claimed to have had
20, 25, or 30 years with MND its bullshit. Just 15 would be
extremely lucky. Whatever condition he had was not MND, because
nobody survives that long.

Not a big Hawking fan myself. Never could figure out what he
did that qualified him as a Genius. He didn't invent the light
bulb, radio, car, airplane, atomic bomb or computer. To me, he
always seemed like a Jerry Lewis Poster Child for MD, just
older.
Not sure how Maslow applies to me either. Basic Needs are
currently covered at the bottom and at the top I have been
actualizing myself since I was about 5, give or take a year.
What is Safety? I wasn't very safe driving my motorcycle in NYC
traffic between the lanes or skiing double diamond trails and
missing the trail markers and going straight off a cliff. lol.
Love has dropped in and out of my life periodically, now it is
out and I don't expect a return visit. My self-esteem is very
high, there is nobody I respect more than me. lol
What am I supposed to learn from this?

🏥 RE's New Project
DIR By: RE
Date: November 28, 2021, 3:22 am
---------------------------------------------------------
As I wrote in my Thanksgiving post, one of my main issues is
extreme boredom. What to DO each day? It\s even hard to find
things for my PCAs to do for me. Mainly, I have used the time
to teach them to play Chess (recorded as "social time" on the
paperwork) or go shopping for food, preparing food, or trips to
some medical facility, or personal hygiene essentials, etc. But
there are still other important things I need to do to PLAN for
the future!
I have written also about my unpleasant time spent in 2 Assisted
Care/Skilled Nursing facilities, but this is only a small slice
of what is out there. Without a larger sampling, I can't make a
good evaluation of the whole industry. It is likely at some
point I will have to return to living in such an environment, so
the time is NOW to start checking out these places! :)
So, beginning next week I am going to start making appointments
at Gulags for Cripples and Old Folks all around the Mat Valley,
and perhaps even down to Anchorage and hopefully evaluate them
on their cuisine, staffing, atmosphere, resident demographics,
costs, etc. Hopefully I will be able to do interviews with
Residents, Staff, Managers and Owners of these places.
If this is successful in terms of gathering information, I will
write a book about it. This has not really been done yet, far
as my Googling has turned up so far.
So now I have a purpose for tomorrow, other than planning my
next trip to the toilet. :)

That's an excellent project and might even lead to some places
lifting their game.
This is the defining trait a doomer, gathering information ahead
of time to make the most informed choices for successful future
outcomes. Normalcy bias wishful thinkers wait for problems to
arrive to try and deal with it too late. They would dismiss your
reporting on hearing of bedsores as doomporn, because the
brochure is all thumbs up and smiles.

🏥 RE falls off the cliff
DIR By: RE
Date: December 27, 2021, 3:44 am
---------------------------------------------------------
My worst week since moving out of the Gulag.
First, my latest weekday PCA quit on Tuesday. She had a high
SUV I couldn't get into which is a big part of the job for me,
going to appointments, doing errands and shopping. The biz
owner did not schedule a new one.
On Thu, my smartphone screen died. Couldn't call out, couldn't
receive calls. Not even 911 if I had a problem, which
fortunately I did not. No internet, since that is my
connection. Off the cliff.
Finally today my weekend PCA showed up, and the main errand that
needed to be run was over to ATT to get a new phone.
Transfering from the car to my wheelchair my foot slipped out
from under me on the ice, landing hard on my tailbone. It's
severely bruised, hopefully not fractured. Did not go for an
xray, since you can't cast a tailbone anyhow.
My PCA got someone to help her lift me back into the chair, and
we completed the phone purchase, which is why I am back on
today.
From there we went to 3 Bears, and I successfully transferred to
the cripple cart, but as I drove into 3 Bears, I felt dizzy and
then apparently lost consciousness for about a minute. 911 was
called, and the EMTs gave me an EKG. It showed Atrial
Fibrillation, which doutless was why I passed out. No doubt
also caused by the fall that had occurred an hour earlier. I
was strongly advised to go to hospital, but refused. I felt
better, and did not feel like spending the rest of the day in
the ER.
I did promise to make an appt with the Cardiologist tomorrow.
It will be interesting to see how quickly they get me in.
Usually it's around a month wait.
Heading into 2022 with a bang.

Rotten luck to fall in the snow just before getting a phone to
take a selfie. At least u didn't fall off or crash the cripple
cart while passed out. Tis the season

Apparently while unconscious I crashed into one of the checkout
register conveyors, and somebody caught me before I fell off the
seat.
Newz for today is I have a Cardiologist appt for Jan 13, except
the doc is currently stuck down in the lower 48 due to flight
cancellations.
Still no PCA, and I cancelled my PT appt for tomorrow, and
suspended any further appts unti I get a PCA and my tailbone is
sufficiently recovered I might actually be able to try working
with the fake leg again. I will need a new referral and go to
the back of the queue, so it will be a few months (if ever)
before that can be resumed.
As dying scenarios go, this one is really good. Zero pain, very
fast. Had I not regained consciousness, I never would have
known I was dead. lol.
