National Derangement
By: K-Dog Date: May 28, 2022, 2:12 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday I did my wage slave thing. Two weeks ago
eighteen-year-old Salvador Ramos was doing his wage slave thing,
but he quit. With no paycheck on payday to pick up, and not able
to graduate high school on May 23rd with his peers, Salvador
Ramos ruined his life in an emotional meltdown of murderous
mayhem on May 24th.
Salvador Ramos decided to become America's next mass shooter.
Salvador Ramos has five-teen minutes of infamy now. He will be
infamous perhaps a week before America's next mass shooter
steals his thunder. And Salvador can't enjoy his flash of
infamy, he's dead. Salvador became a corpse while becoming
infamous.
Salvador Ramos is a flash in the pan, but America's melting pot
boils with disturbed people. Every day like a pot on a stove,
disturbed souls boil over to splash the rest of us with their
scalding derangement. To keep from being scalded, America should
stop making disturbed people. This is an obvious and sane
solution, and it will be ignored.
Aeons ago, when I was 18, graduating high school was mandatory.
Becoming a dropout was never an option. The dropout rate in my
high school was less than 3%. Academic standards were high.
Police would investigate kids who looked like they skipped
school. People went to church and everyone was part of a family.
You could be Jewish or Islamic or whatever where I lived, and
most citizens were colorblind. Being tolerant was a virtue.
People helped each other. The infection of racism was not as
strong as it was in the rest of America. Racism was weak in the
northern big city. Weak enough so most people were embarrassed
to show the disease if they had it at all. People behaved
themselves.
Cold weather makes good citizens. Half the year is fatal in the
Northern Midwest. If you don't have shelter and good clothing,
you freeze. Nobody needed AAA if there was car trouble. Helping
others was normal.
Life had structure. Hard work paid off. The future was bright
and only getting better. With fifty K a year, you would live
like a king. Most dads raised their kids on twenty just fine.
My dad was a hard-ass. I was 12 years old when he told me the
only money I was going to get was money I earned. I was not
going to get any from him. My dad is gone now. At the end, he
regretted that he kept his word to me. I told him it was OK.
Things worked out well enough for me. Earning my life gives me a
good feeling.
Fifty cents an hour for lawn mowing did not go very far. Paper
Routes did better, but were dangerous. Delivering newspapers on
an inch of new ice in a blizzard is dangerous. Dogs were a
constant danger. I love dogs, but on a square mile of suburban
newspaper delivery area there was always at least one bad dog.
Legal working age was 16, but I was a freshwater tropical fish
expert at 14. The local pet shop hired me to clean animal cages
and talk fish. One dollar an hour under the table. I was in
heaven. A few hours after school and a full day, sometimes two
on weekends. When I was 16 and legal, I had been raised to $2.75
an hour.
As the years went by, I had a lot of different jobs. University
took forever. I supported a family. It took a few years to
settle down and become a proper student. I become one and I
earned professional degrees. My passion for tropical fish was
replaced by a passion to understand electronics. I became an
engineer. Becoming good at what I do is important.
Before writing any of this, I read for an hour everything I
could about Salvador Ramos. Salvador was cruel. His relatives
claim he was bullied. But guys who shoot other people with BB
guns for shits and grins are at least one step beyond asshole.
They are bullies. Salvador's brain wrinkles may not have been
right. In a land of 300 million+, shit happens. Bad brain
folding happens somewhere. But I can't help wonder if things
could have been different for Salvador Ramos.
There was too much structure in my life for me to have ever been
a school shooter. My dreams never went beyond blowing up empty
school buildings, and that as only something fun to think about.
Certainly not seriously. I was into science and read books. I
liked school. I have good brain wrinkles. Before the Internet, I
went to the library. Now I work part-time.
I have my own dark side but I learned to harness my feelings
before I did myself in.
We start out more the same than we become. Life leads us in
different directions. I had the advantage of structure long
enough to learn to shape myself. I become what I do. I become
how I act. I become what I think. I am fortunate.
Some things, some doings, are better than other doings and other
things. There are some futures worth being a part of, some
futures not worth having.
But America lost structure. People overloaded with choice and
buried under an avalanche of change are dizzy with confusion. We
live in a time where anything goes and nothing matters, leaving
even the most capable confused. Everything became the same, and
now nothing is allowed to be better than anything else.
The Buffalo shooter Payton Gendron also 18, was the shooter of
the month before Ramos stole his thunder. Payton is a tape
recorder of crack-pot hate. Nothing in Payton's manifesto is
worth reading. Payton's brain is an emotional sewer. I have not
seen his manifesto, but I read enough description of the Mein
Kampfian wannabe tome to know there is nothing original or
anything of possible merit in any of it. Payton Gendron is a
deranged hate robot. Bad brain wrinkles are possible.
When adults don't know right from wrong, children can't tell the
difference. We all mimic more than we live authentically.
Currently there is a war in Ukraine to mimic. Cage fighting is a
thing.
Set your own limits is fine advice for anyone able to do so. But
many people only copy others, it is all they can do. Such people
need direction or they get lost. Without direction, a path
leading to self-destruction of futures, theirs and others, is
possible. America has no good direction to offer America's
children or anyone else now. Salvador Ramos needed more
direction than his fry burger job could give him. Bad brain
wrinkles or not, people appear to have let the young man down.
Salvador Ramos and Payton Gendron may be organically defective.
Wanting to kill people, is a defect for sure. But are their
defects from the environment they grew in, or from personal
structural defects. Bad folds of the brain? Or not?
The violent Halo video game franchise has sold more than fifty
million copies so far. America celebrates violence. People enjoy
the thrill of violence. But a small number of people can't
understand the difference between entertaining fantasy and real
life. These people mimic. They can't understand real life is a
banquet of consequences. These people can't understand that real
doings have any real consequences at all. In fantasy
consequences don't exist. Everything works out. In fantasy that
which is the most fun gets done and endings can always change.
America worships at the church of the Second Amendment. Guns are
fun and there will be another mass shooting soon. In America,
guns are good. America would rather see schools become
fortresses armed by guards looking like prisons before changing
gun laws.
I offer no solutions. Nobody is interested in solutions. The
band plays on. Fortress schools would teach kids a lesson. But
not a good one. I keep my solutions to myself.

Well done, K-Dog. A good piece - well written.
The benefits of early work. I had to start helping around the
old man's little store when I was very young - maybe 8 or so.
They'd have me weigh up bags of spuds or other simple tasks.
I think we have to also consider the chemicals prevalent in
food, air and water as well as all the constant electro-magnetic
bombardment as possibly having an effect on some minds.
Keep up the good work.

[glow=red,2,300]"Nutballs.
I believe America has a nutball problem."[/glow]
Indeed.
Land of the free. Home of the brave.
Over 60% of the people who engage in these mass shootings have a
history of domestic violence. More have a history of cruelty to
animals. It seems, as JOW noted, the horse is out of the barn.
There is no removing firearms from the US. At the rate of
confiscating one gun per minute it would take over 500 years to
get them all. If you only concentrated on semi-auto rifles and
shotguns it would take over 100 years. So... can we get guns
away from crazy people without impinging on the 2A? Vindictive
ex-spouses, hateful neighbors, bureaucratic bullshit can all
work to keep firearms away from a sane, well adjusted person if
you institute a mental health provision in the law. I have no
doubt that the constant desire to disarm the populace will
produce abuse by authority. The age could be raised to 21 - with
a waiver for 18 year olds who could get references. But this
would drive the gun lobby nuts. The industry will mount a
massive push-back against any curtailment of rights (profit).
Of course, this particular incident was made far worse by the
cowardly, inept police. They issued all sorts of gear; helmets,
body armor, latest firearms - but they forgot to issue a pair of
balls.
This was a horrible event. Nineteen kids dead. In Chicago they
would call it a bad week. Meanwhile, I get adds daily for ammo
and guns. There's a special on Turkish shotguns and Brazilian
handguns with several suppliers. There are over 400 MILLION
rounds of Russian ammo sitting in US warehouses right now.
The media, of course, gives its focus to the Armalite platform.
They look like what they are. However, as most of us know, you
can get the same performance from a Garand based model with a
wooden stock. Add a binary trigger (one shot on the pull one
shot on the release) and you're damn near full auto.
The 2A serves as a deterrent against tyranny. It's that simple
and I wish it weren't so. But it is. We should do all we can
to keep insane morons away from guns but I have little hope.
I do not live a "normal" life, but I can say with certainty that
on several occasions I'd have been dead if I didn't have
firearms. It's perhaps my weird circle of acquaintances, but I
know a lot of people who will tell you the same.
"I have seen the future, baby. it is murder."

Put the kettle on, theres no short way to weigh in on this.
Where you say 60% of mass shooters have a history of domestic
violence and later that this is a bad weekend in Chicago, be
assured that a gender studies ideologue has conflated the two
things for the purpose of labelling all men as potential threats
of mass shootings. They have taken the quote 'there are lies,
damned lies and statistics' to previously unimagined levels. I
won't go into evidence of that right now, but if you want me to
I can explain as well.
Yes men who shoot three or more people they have some personal
conflict with, often gang related, have probably had an intimate
relationship with another person. Of all the high profile cases
involving seemingly random targets or a group perceived to be to
blame, only two I can think of had a wife or gf: Martin Bryant
and Steven Paddock.
Both of them also had the type of assistance Lee Harvey Oswald
did.
(Video shows Kennedy shot from front not rear and above. Paddock
using .223/556 from 400m had no lethal penetration, video of
witnesses immediately afterwards saying there were shooters in
the crowd running after them as well.
Bryant's name is not supposed to be mentioned here in Tas, hence
the movie about him was called 'nitram', reversing the letter
order of his name. I haven't seen it, but revulsion and
exclusion creates mass shooters in the first place. You wouldn't
know who I'm talking about if I follow this counterproductive
convention.
Anyway, he is mentally retarded and listening to tapes of him
talking to the police before giving himself up, he's talking
about an accomplice and it being "your guy is still in there
(the cafe) I'm worried hell get hurt when you go in".
Neither of those two were ever mentioned in relation to domestic
violence.
Let's examine how these three are extreme outliers from the well
known profile of a high profile mass shooter far from having a
partner domestic relationship, being a virgin unless they have
childhood sexual abuse.
For this purpose let's say Oswald is not a complete unwitting
Patsy as he claimed, and did his part of his own volition, which
I believe. His family background fits the profile of a mass
shooter, absent father and non maternal mother, however this was
an assassination, not mass shooting.
He was married in the1950s in the USSR in an era when marriage
rate was far higher than present. That absolutely matters when
you factor in the isolation common to almost all mass shooters.
This also makes them easy pickings for military psyops units,
where they are offered a sense of belonging and father figure
handlers.
Bryant and Paddock were both wealthy and women somehow go
together with that. Paddock from business and Bryant inherited
about half a million dollars from an old lady who was his
neighbour. A lot of money in the mid 90s.
I don't know anything about Paddock of Las Vegas massacre's
earlier life. You could theorise that it's possible if abuse,
bullying, exclusion and isolation were present, they set in
motion something that could not be reversed when he seemingly
had it all. To begin with, we don't know that his early life was
like that and also, his action (he still did this of his own
volition even if he was assisted) was political radical. It
falls under an eg Sunni v Shia, Croat v Serb type category.
Bryant again, is responsible for his own part in Port Arthur. It
seems his home life was ok, his mother is still in his corner,
but definitely being mentally retarded had experienced a lot of
exclusion and isolation. He didn't have any friends even though
he was living with a girl at the time it happened. Probably if
he was a bit smarter and capable of of thinking ahead more than
present moment, would have put the past behind him. He was a bum
surfer and there are still plenty of them here I know.
Before heading to PA he went and shot people who refused to sell
him their property. That's indicative of primary school mental
age moral reasoning, so easy to influence with offers of
whatever they want. For a mass shooter that's usually just
company and my take is that is what led Bryant to get involved.
Recruited by someone posing as a friend, which goes with it not
being also a suicide. He is unusual in being taken alive
because the fact that these acts are primarily suicides is
overlooked in the collective response. We don't care about the
life of the shooter and are focussed on the lives of the
victims, so only think about why would he shoot all of them. To
understand that, first think about why they decided to die
themself first.
Impulsive actions aside, people suicide when they have nothing
to live for. Then they can have a group they blame for their
circumstance. One plus one equals two for a mass shooting.
Murder and suicide.
Why Ramos didn't shoot his own former high school, I don't know.
He might not have been able to get in after leaving. The MSM
tell us he was ridiculed for his clothes, but not mentioning
that was probably wearing women's clothes as they never show the
fotos of him in drag. His foto above, expressionless and
constricted pupils screams sociopath to me.
If you look at the data prior to Adam Lanza in 2012, it was
always their own school they shot up. Brenda Spencer of the 70s
boomtown rats song, columbine in the 90s etc, it goes back at
least a hundred years in the US, the data I saw before might be
on wiki as well.
Most in the 20th C involved only around 2 or 3 dead, so may
just be bullies of the shooter. The further back you go, the
more settling scores was nobodies responsibility but yours as
well. Not condoning, just explaining or attempting to.
The Buffalo one not shooting his own school is explained by the
manifesto, which I haven't read either, but if we take it as
truth he wrote what we are told, he targetted the group he
perceived to blame for his circumstance. More or less the same
thing as Christchurch NZ. That guy at least had training to
explain his precision. The Buffalo boy must have played a lot of
paintball, looking at his livestream.
Going up in age, guys usually go and shoot or blow up the
workplace that sacked them, but the profile and background is
the same. The same one plus one applies: exclusion and isolation
plus a group to blame.
The autistic Filipino guy, early 20s in Hollywood, name I forget
now. Wealthy parents, he owned a BMW, talked about how he had
nicer car and clothes and felt he was also better looking than
the guys with the girls.. resented them all and went shooting
them all.
The one in Florida also about 20 who shot up three Asian massage
parlours, said he did it because was addicted to sex. Obviously
not by the partner path, so the same one plus one. Another one
unusual in being taken alive.
Two things stand out for me in explaining it all, without side
tracking into possible conspiracy. An interview I read about 30
yrs ago before internet, with one taken alive who said; just
look for a fascination with guns and a history of abuse and you
can't go wrong. Another is that African proverb; if you don't
allow the young men any place in the village, they will burn it
down just to feel it's warmth. Of course that's just some
explanation and not a solution. Like KD I don't have one either,
but I know focussing on mental health isn't a solution when
there is no realistic hope.

Thanks so much for posting this, Mr. Potts. One of the reasons
I participate here is the quality of the thought and opinion you
(and others) express so well. This is a topic that I know
involves your professional expertise and I'm grateful you
weighed in.
"Where you say 60% of mass shooters have a history of domestic

I have no doubt that every one of these events is used to
further a political/social agenda. The news coverage is
obviously selected and geared to maximize a desired effect. I
would indeed like you to expand on the evidence of manipulation
and planning. IF, in fact, some of these incidents are
scripted, it might account for the unfathomable police response
in a few of them.
Another dimension to the discussion:
HTML https://wchstv.com/news/local/victim-hospitalized-in-charleston-shooting<br
/>
Mr. Butler was a bad guy. Thirty seven years old with an
extensive criminal record. He showed up at a high school
graduation party with an AR and started shooting. A quick
thinking woman with courage and a pistol (and apparently a
decent aim) prevented another terrible outcome.
I'm writing this reply in chunks as I have to take a break from
cutting meat every so often because of my hands. So this is
part 1.

You are so right that they are run of the mill nutters. Nothing
special. You have a right to be crazy and have unfiltered
emotional expression in America. It is what FREEDOM is all
about here. Not the kind of FREEDOM Mel Gibbson screamed out in
the Braveheart execution scene. It is a different thing. Our
kind of FREEDOM grows crazy people.
Emotions are always considered valid in America. No matter what
they are. The idea that a person should or could regulate how
they feel and act is a foreign concept. Our anti-vax people
will never stand for gun control. FREEDOM is more important
than public safety. It was a year ago and it still is. People
who will not even put a cloth on their face to keep strangers
alive will 'be dammed' if you take their right to kill a
stranger away. They will come for you. Possibly with guns.
I was **** on for not agreeing that ALL vax mandates were
inappropriate by the pop FREEDOM crowd. Compete refusal to be
vaxed and thinking you have a right to whatever employment you
have is a brain dead point of view. Nurses who would not get
vaxed and who work in a hospital ICU should be fired IMHO. My
caveat to getting vaxed was that there had to be a compelling
reason to require people working with the public be vaxed before
you threaten their employment.
My compelling reason attitude makes me into a stick in the mud
patriarch to anyone involved in what America thinks the 'left'
is. Comrades understand but we don't have so many of those.
'Left or 'right', we are one nation under nuttery.
The last thing I am going to do is advocate for controls which
would keep guns out of the hands of unstable people. That would
be un-American and I have enough bullshit to eat right now
without giving myself more problems. I hope my attitude does
not get me shot.
Check out this nutter. He wanted his neighbors to 'hold' his
guns.
