@K-Dog Agreed!!! The activity on TPP is very slow. It seems it
is membered by a lot of academics who constantly need another
meeting to discuss every nuance of making the decisions as
universal ( to the members ) as possible...endless meetings and
a lot of frustrated activists. I can be patient but I am
different than that. I think they need to act very soon on
outreach and creating the petitions to get the party on state
ballots. They are so far from detailing a national platform,
which will be necessary for the state petitions to emulate.
Aggressive climate action is what the members want but it looks
like it will November before a platform will be. The petition
deadlines are around Feb. 2022. CRAZY!! So I just signed a
petition that calls for a national carbon tax in the United
States of America.

@RE They have just started dipping their toes in the water as
far as finding candidates. I won't be able to be patient enough
for them to have endless meetings to find them. So I have no
idea on that.
"What happens if the CONgress is Dem majority & Senate is Rep
and POTUS is TPP?"
It seems like that would be a traffic jam. They need candidates
soon to start making public their plans very soon just to get
them in CONgress and the Senate in the mid-terms. I am starting
to press the coordinators to act quickly on outreach and getting
petitions ready. ::)

Finally got a reply from the Missouri coordinator on a flyer. He
says "Go for it." Cool. UPS store charges 50 cents per page. To
get 200 it would cost $104!!!!! :-\

I have an invitation in my real person mailbox from the Peoples
Party. I have not bothered to open it. I do not consider them
serious, but my demographic watermarks naturally came to their
attention.
If they really stand up for something a Peoples Party could get
off the ground. But they don't. Disaffected people in America
are driven by anger and a disgust for conservative assholes who
have been ruling the roost. While understandable this should
not be confused with standing for something. American
disaffection is not driven by values or desire for a better
world. Disaffected Americans generally can't do math and have
daddy issues. Which makes their thinking magically lost in
fantasy. The American left would like to take a psychedelic and
get answers from the music of the spheres. Find the secrets of
the universe between their ears in a dream.
A crowd of disaffected unfocused people who seek to replace hard
work with magic. That is not radical enough for me.

that is nuts. Staples is usually way cheaper. Ups stores seem to
be home to the 3 dollar envelope.
Have you considered starting locally? Civic office, state...
something like that? Our own hard left leaning party got started
at municipal levels, grew to provincial, then federal. It took
20 years though but it anchored them to a real grass roots
network.

What do critics of Western Capitalism do? They
[glow=orange,2,300]fundraise[/glow]. They want money to fight
capitalism with.
Try as I may if I reach down and pull up on a shoe I can get one
leg pulled off the ground. But when I try both legs at the same
time both legs stay on the ground.
The flyer asks for a lot of stuff but there is no plan to get
any of it.

The pragmatist in me would rearrange the order on the flyer. You
put all the stuff everyone is on board with first. You start off
with unions which I support but is a hot button issue. Tax
reform, veterans, infrastructure, lots of easy buy in there. Of
course that already puts you on the road to the middle...

Staples is even more expensive $.64!! I tried to grey scale it,
but it turns into total blurred everything. I think I will just
find places to email the flyer.

Yep...It would have to be an introduction flyer, then you HAVE
to ask "Could the People's Party help you with your agenda/s?"
Yea, I am beginning to see how fucked this whole thing is. About
ready to drop this thing. Start hounding the Biden agenda
instead.... hounding (get it K-Dog) :)

Don't drop it. It teaches you too many things to drop. It is
good for something. It shows the daunting impossibility of
change. But that does not mean one stops trying.
In the last year I have put myself out a bit. I get on You-Tube
news channels and panels when I can to make my 'pinions known. I
was on Upstream Media today. I took a small bite of the
elephant.
I was interviewed on Collapse Chronicles once and 4000 people
watched the interview. So what! A million people can watch a
big budget special on climate change or anything else. An hour
later they will still be on their ass.
One thing Extinction Rebellion (Britain) understands. To make
real change everyone has to get involved. To involve everyone
messages must be repeated over and over and over again. There
is no other way. The way I see it, all we can do is plant seeds
and wait for circumstances to make them grow. If you really
want something to grow you plant lots of seeds.
Could the flyers be printed in China?

Trying to be all things for all people is a recipe for disaster.
Some people won't be happy no matter what you do.
