/><p>Turning off the screen overlay on Samsung Galaxy S7 is
one of the most confusing error messages which is afflicting
some Galaxy phone users. Of course, there is a fix
which is relatively simple. <p>The issue is mostly showing
up when users start up an application for the first time
and they accept the usual permission dialogs. More
precisely the message goes off like this: <b>Screen overlay
detected</b> – To change this permission setting, you first have
to turn off the screen overlay in Settings > Apps. <p>As
an example for what screen overlay is, the
most known is the chat heads in Facebook Messenger. It
is actually a part from an application that can display
over other applications. The real problem lies in the
permission of when to use the screen overlay. It would be of
a great use if the users have an option to disable this
when installing their desired application. <p> The fix is in
doing exactly what the dialog box is telling you to do. It
goes off like this: <p> 1. Launch the <b>Settings</b> app <p>2.
Tap <b>Applications</b> <p>3. Click on <b>Application
Manager</b> <p>4. Tap on <b>More</b>  to open the menu in
the top right corner <p> 5. From the menu click <b>Apps</b>
that can appear on top <p> <p>After finishing step 5, there will
be shown a list of applications who need permission
to use screen overlay. After you find the application
that is causing you a problem with screen overlay, what you
need to do next is just tap the toggle button next to the
name of the app to turn the permission off. You should have
in note that not always is precisely shown which app is
trying to use screen overlay. Sometimes you might
need to think by yourself which application can change
the way of showing the content on your display (like the
Messenger from Facebook for example). <p> <p>After you are
done with turning off the overlay, all that is left is just
restarting the application. Now everything should
be running just fine, but you may also be asked to grant
