Population, Taxation and PP
How to get rich off the blood of the peasantry
Population
Every nation begins with 50 000 000 people living in it.
Each cycle
HTML http://geopoliticsrp.createaforum.com/the-staff-room/time/,
your
population grows by 1%, though this value can increase with
certain upgrades.
Taxation
Every cycle, you get to take some money from your population in
taxes. Those are then added to your treasury and you can spend
that money on things like your military, or construction
projects, or research.
To get your tax income for a cycle, just divide your population
(after growth) by 500 000 to find how many MK you get. Simple!
Once you've done that, you'll also want to subtract any
maintenance costs that you pay for Buildings
HTML http://geopoliticsrp.createaforum.com/the-staff-room/projects-and-construction/<br
/>or your Military
HTML http://geopoliticsrp.createaforum.com/the-staff-room/warfare-and-military-units/<br
/>that cycle.
Each nation begins with a treasury of 100 MK.
Production Points
To build things, or to do Research
HTML http://geopoliticsrp.createaforum.com/the-staff-room/technology-and-research/,<br
/>you use Production Points. These represent the amount of
industrial capacity that a project takes to complete.
Each project you undertake will have a certain PP score.
For every PP that a project costs, it takes one hour and one MK
to complete that project.
Furthermore, while a project is under construction, its PP cost
is taken away from your country's PP cap, a number which
represents how much industrial capacity your nation has to spend
on these projects.
To find your base PP cap, simply divide your population by 500
000, the same calculation you do to find your tax income
HTML http://tax income. Easy! This number can also be increased by
certain upgrades
So, let's say, for example, you want to build a house that takes
10 PP to build. To build that house, you would first spend 10
MK. Then, for the next 10 hours, that project uses up 10 of your
PP cap. So, if you had a PP cap of 100, you could build up to
ten of these houses at the same time! Once those 10 hours are
up, the project is complete and any of your PP cap that it was
using is freed up again for future projects.
One last thing to note is that you can double the time of a
project (so that house would then take 20 hours to build), but
in doing so halve the PP cost of that project. This also, by the
way, halves the MK cost of the project.
You can also halve the time of a project (so that house would
then take 5 hours), but it will use up twice as much PP and cost
twice as much MK.
Logging Projects
When you undergo a project, you need to log it in a projects
thread (you should make one for your nation and keep all your
projects there) so that it can be seen. Secret projects do not
need to be logged publicly, but you must remember to tell a
moderator beforehand instead so that they have proof that you
did the project when you said you did. Logging your projects
should use the following format:
Name of Project (Put whatever the project actually is here.)
Speed: (Normal, Double Speed, or Half Speed)
PP: (How many PP the project costs)
MK: (How many MK the project costs)
Started at: (The time you started the project at. Don't forget
to give us the timezone!)
Complete at: (The time this project will finish it.)
