Economic System: Syndicalism
Leader Name: Kilborg Strom
Ruling Political Faction: The faction within the Congress of
Councils with the most clout currently is the Syndicalist
Workers of Iridar.
Most Followed Religion / State Religion: Solailism although the
state is atheist.
History:
See The Grand Duchy of Rhenania's history then read below.
After splitting with Rhenania in a newfound act of republicanism
the new democracy soon saw itself compromised.
After a series of defensive wars against worried monarchs a
popular and highly skilled general seized power in a
bloodless coup. Nuenen used his new power to fully enact revenge
on these monarchs. In a series of grueling wars
against countless coalitions where The Iridar Republic was close
to defeating them all Nuenen was defeated and killed.
After this the republic was eventually reformed into a more
proper democracy and a official constitution was written.
Periodical wars continued with Rhenania and Svebia but as they
grew more devestating they started losing popularity
with the general populence. The last such war was not just any
war but the great war.
The war cost many millions of lives and as the dust settled
Iridar had lost, but so had the victors. Iridar lost land east
of the river and a draconian treaty was enforced upon the
country. This treaty has lead to popular demonstrations against
the current government and has inspired general strikes that
were quickly dealt with by the government. This greatly
unpopular
government now has to deal with the threat of syndicalist
uprising and collapse from within.[/spoiler]

To whom it may concern within the revolutionary government of
Iridar,
It is undoubtedly your understanding that a number of mutineers
who rebelled against their superiors while en route to the
diplomatic meeting in Rouenne have, in the interest of averting
conflict, been returned to your nation largely unharmed.
Regardless of this fact, however, it remains that they committed
felonious criminal acts against the government of Rhenania and
its people, including but not limited to the murder of six
government-employed soldiers, attempting to flee arrest,
destruction of a Rhenanian military vessel, and unlawful
brandishing of lethal weapons within city limits.
We do not expect you to punish these mutineers as they deserve
for their mutinies, but it is the request of the Rhenanian
government that you subject them to trial for the other crimes
which they have committed while on Rhenanian soil. Additionally,
it is our expectation that payment equivalent to .5MK for each
sailor killed be paid in reparation to the crown, that it might
be disbursed to their grieving families.
If you fail to cooperate with these fully-reasonable requests,
we may be forced to take matters into our own hands.

To the government of Rhenania,
It is unfortunate that the events transpired as they did, but if
William Archer had been accepted as a temporary representative
there would have been no problem. You had a 2nd chance to avoid
any issues when they demanded to leave, but you held them
against their will, demanding a prisoner they would rather not
give away. We will extend a official apology for the death of
the six Rhenanian soliders, as we mourn the fourteen dead Iridar
sailors.
Trails have already transpired finding them all innocent
considering the circumstances in effect at the time of the
event.
Your demand of money is nothing more than extortion. .5 MK is
more than a solider would make in a hundred lifetimes in
Rhenania, and we very much doubt the sum would go to their
families. We will offer a gift of 1 MK for being honorable
towards our sailors and as a token of good will.

The government of Rhenania takes great offense to the
insinuation that we would steal funds promised to the families
of soldiers who died in our nation's defense. You may keep the
money that you offer in bad faith, alongside the false apologies
that you issue while raising a mutineer to admiralty.
