Update on why I haven't been on the forum!

Well a couple months ago I started to talk to Marine Corps
recruiters and I have been working out with them like crazy! I
also lost over 40lbs and im still losing weight! I have been
crazy busy! My birthday is also coming up on the 25th so I have
been planning that. Then on the 27th im getting my first tattoo
done!
The reason why I haven't been out is because my gun is not
working and I just want to sell some of my stuff and restart. Im
also currently looking for a job, but because of me going to
sign up to join the Marine Corps. Most won't hire me. So im very
tight on money.

Marine Corps huh? I should be in bootcamp next summer

Im mostly thinking about infantry or being part of a tank crew.
Im going in and signing up on the 30th of this month. Are you
part of the Central maine group for the pooles?

I am not, I am going Infantry as well, that or Machine Gunner,
still on the ropes between them. But I do know I'm going to try
and quallify for Force Recon then MARSOC and serve at least 30
years or untill I die, which ever comes sooner

I was also looking at being a support gunner. I have been
working out like crazy! haha also by recruiter was in the Force
Recon.

support gunner is not a MOS, its a role which is aquired through
weapons qualifications, you score highest in the Squad Support
area you will most likely be issued a M249 or M240G, I plan on
qualifying for Force Recon right out of boot camp with hopes of
being assigned to a Expeditionary unit, then serve my 5 year
cycle in the Recon before placeing a request for MARSOC. Who is
your Recuiter? Maybe sometime if I get a Ride I'll tag along for
some training, I'v been working on all the kye PFT (Running,
Pull ups, Crunches) requirments as well and muscle building for
personal fitness, even got a "Marine Traner" App for my Ipod lol
it helps though.

My recruiter is Sgt. Dipalo! HE IS A BEAST! I have that song its
so bad ass! I use it when I work out! Even if I dont make the
standard for support gunner. I would still be happy being a
rifleman.

Mine is SSgt Hill, and yeah I have the song on my Ipod, its my
workout and running song, with a few other fast pased songs. I
will be starting intense workouts for strong muscle building, If
I go as a Machine Gunner I'll need to be strong enough to handle
the heavy weapons.
I think you can make it as a support gunner, just don't give up
and remember the 2 roles of a support gunner, suppression and
casualty.
