Aaron's father chuckled at his son's confusion. "The princess
appears to have been testing you Aaron."
"And I'm glad that he has passed." Smiling at his father before
turning back to Aaron himself.
"I don't know what was going on in your head..""But I got the
reaction I wanted. Even when I 'offed' you, you knew your place
would be here if not anywhere else. And you didn't let your
emotions get the better of you." Ariel made a brief pause,
smiled mischievously as she left the 'Unlike that other time~.'
unsaid.

in your head.. But I got the reaction I wanted. Even when I
'offed' you, you knew your place would be here if not anywhere
else. And you didn't let your emotions get the better of you."
"I see. My place was could have been with you or the others, but
this kingdom needs my aid. Besides, like the original, surely
you folks would gather more assistance along the journey. I
shall not fail you, princess. May you be blessed on your
adventure." Aaron smiled at the princess and turned back to his
father, but stopped and looked back.
"And... thank you. If anything that inquires my help, please do
not hesitate to contact me."

Tatsuo looked around then proceeded to walk out of the station,
looking around enjoying the scenery but still lost. He looked at
the mini-map again trying to find out where he was.
"I don't understand!"
He growled and crumpled the map a bit putting it into his
pocket, he then walked up to one of the passerbys and asked.
"Excuse me, could you tell me where the Inn is?"
The female looked at Tatsuo about to reply then you could see
the confusion in her facial expression, Tatsuo closed his eyes
and repeated in his head 'Please don't freak out, please don't
freak out.'
"What kind of Kungji are you?"
The woman started feeling Tatsuo's face, feeling his fur then
walked a circle around him examining him more. Tatsuo watched
the lady and tilted his head.
"A what? What's a Kungji?"
The woman stopped and looked at him, laughing a bit.
"Ah, you're not from here then. What are you exactly? I haven't
seen any other beings with fur all over their body."
"I'm a Siamese Cat, now please answer my question.."
The woman rose a brow, a little surprised.
"A cat.. Cats can't talk, nor do they walk on their hind legs
like a human."
Tatsuo softly growled at the woman, annoyed that he's being
questioned about how he is and clenched his fist.
"Tell me where I can find the Inn or I'll just go and ask
someone else."
It seemed the woman noticed Tatsuo getting annoyed.
"Alright alright, I'm sorry... Keep walking down this street
then turn right at the first intersection. You should be able to
see it from there."
Tatsuo shot a glare at the woman then began walking.
"Thank you... I don't know why it was so hard for you to just
answer my question in the first place."
"You're welcome Catman."
The woman continued walking off, turning back to look at him
rather curious about him. Tatsuo sent a few sparks into his
right fist, nearly losing it then he sighed, calming down
releasing his fist.
"Ugh...I can tell i'm not gonna enjoy my time here after
all...."
He said as he got closer to the intersection.

"I only need your cooperation. I'm appointing you as a personal
bodyguard, the ones you have to protect are my parents."
Ariel smiled, "That was why I tested you."

why I tested you."
"Personal bodyguard for Her and His Majesty... Quite a big task.
But I am certain Aaron can uphold his duty."
"If the princess requests, then I shall accept the mission."
Aaron said as he knelt before Ariel.

"Because you are appointed by me, you also get a little
something."
Ariel reached into her pocket and pulled out a pendent. Silver
chains connected to the pommel of a runic sword.
"Courtesy from me and Kayla. The pendent is a runic sword used
by spell knights. In fact.."
Ariel looks at the pendant more closely, a frown on her face and
her brow furrowed in thought.
"I think this is a replica of Ronan's sword he used as a spell
knight."
"Anyway, this is yours." Ariel then leaned forward and put the
pendent on Aaron.
"Specially made by Kayla, this pendent will let you talk to me
or anyone else who has one of these." Ariel explained after she
leaned back.
"This also tells me if you are dying or if you are already dead.
So try not to lose it, least your goal be to give me a heart
attack along with a headache while I'm on my journey." Giving a
hint of sarcasm in the last sentence.

on Aaron.

Aaron stood up and smiled, then looked back at the pendant.
"It is beautiful, is it not Aaron? And how is your new sword?"
Aaron then looked down to his left hip, where his one-handed
weapon lay sheathed, glittering nicely in silver with its
dark-colored handle.
"Both elegant and well refined indeed. Thank you, father. I
shall cherish both gifts and use them well."
"You are very welcome, son. Now go. Do not worry about this old
Lieutenant. Kanavan and its King and Queen need their new knight
to protect them from harm's way." Aaron nodded and held his
father's hand one last time.
"Good bye, father. May your wounds heal, and may you be blessed
on your recovery. We should go, princess."

"You mean I should go. You have to stay here." Ariel got up and
patted her bottom to get rid of the dust.
"Oh, I almost forgot." Ariel reached into her other pocket and
pulled out an exact copy of the pendent she had given Aaron.
"This is for you." She said as she put the pendent on Aaron's
father.
"If for any reason Aaron cannot guard them, please take his
place."
"Of course Princess."
"It has the same functions I listed earlier. It works by voice
command and only you will be able to use it." Having finished
what she set out to do, Ariel constructed her magic circle and
set it revolving under her feet.
"I have to go now. Farewell.
Ariel turned to Aaron with a solemn look on her face."Do your
best Aaron. I wish to see my parents well when I come back."
With that said, Ariel disappeared.

"You mean I should go. You have to stay here. Oh, I almost
forgot. This is for you. If for any reason Aaron cannot guard
them, please take his place." Ariel said as she put a pendant on
Aaron's father.
"Of course Princess."
"It has the same functions I listed earlier. It works by voice
command and only you will be able to use it. I have to go now.
Farewell. Do your best Aaron. I wish to see my parents well when
I come back." With all that, Ariel disappeared once more in her
magical pentagram.
"Hm, I figured she would want me to continue enacting as her
bodyguard till her departure..." Aaron said to himself as he
left the infirmary.
Aaron made his way to the Castle's Throne Room, the beginning of
his new task. "Cute pendant" laughed one of the passing knights,
but Aaron shrugged it off. At the entrance to the throne, two
soldiers stood guard.
"Identification please."
"Aaron. You may know my father, the Strategy Chief Lieutenant of
the Royal Guard, but I am here as a request from both him and
Her Majesty's daughter."
"Strategy Chief Lieutenant? The princess? Very well, if it's
from them, then the King and Queen must be expecting you."
Both soldiers opened the Throne Room's doors, allowing Aaron to
enter. Guardsmen were neatly lined on both sides of the hall's
middle carpet that led to the Royalty Members whom were sitting
on their chairs at the end of the room. Both Majesties looked
quietly over Ariel's Pendant before the Queen whispered
something to the King. "Leave us" the King ordered, commanding
all soldiers in the room to walk out. A few feet in front of the
stairwell leading to the Majesties, Aaron knelt before them and
spoke. "I am Aaron of Kanavan. You may have known my deeds for
helping the citizen's needs, but you may also have known my
father, the Strategy Chief Lieutenant. But as you can see,"
Aaron held up the pendant. "This necklace means that the
Princess has knighted me." He then let go of the item. "From
then on, I am your sword and shield, your personal bodyguard,
your Aegis Warrior. Now..." Aaron stood up in front of the
Royalty Members. "What would you have your Knight do?"

"Good night..." Eilam muttered as his sword jabbed and pierced
through the back of a neck of a lone Anmon, a humanoid creature
that supposedly looks like an ant but in reality are none of the
sort. After sheathing his weapons and the body collapsing on the
ground, the assassin quickly and quietly looted, picking up a
couple of GPs, potions, and a scroll. The context of the paper
was a map with a crudely drawn arrow that pierces through the
mountains that border Ellia and Alcubra. "So this is what you're
up to?" Eilam growled softly as he darted towards the
northeastern mountains of Ellia.
As the assassin trekked along the bottom of the mountains, he
noticed something rather strange: one giant spot in the form of
a cave opening did not blend perfectly with the mountain's
texture. Eilam touched the spot and learned that it was soft
stitched leather and not hard rock, obviously concealing some
sort of cave. Shrouding himself with invisibility, Eilam slipped
through the crummy illusion and moved slick but quietly through
the cave. As he progressed through the area, he noticed there
were no Anmons, but heard a faint drilling sound, which steadily
grew louder as he further continued. He finally came upon
jackpot: a large colony of Dark Anmons trying to mine through
the mountains to get to Alcubra, using small pickaxes and a
large drill machine.
"Sir, are you absolutely sure those wretched assassins won't
find us?" one of the Anmons spoke.
"Of course!" said a large brute, who seemed to be the leader of
the group, standing confident as the workers continued their
drills.
"I sent the annoying prick on a little scavenger hunt, putting
the newbies of our colony scattered across parts of Ellia. All
of them hold fake maps that leads to another nubby, but none
leading here. Finally, we can escape from that wretched
b@st@rd!" continued the leader Anmon.
"You're brilliant, sir!"
"Yes, brilliantly stupid and idiotic..."
Moments later, a loud 'crack' sound was created by the drilled
wall, forming numerous slits. Then, it shattered and broke,
causing sunlight to illuminate through the destroyed rock.
"FREEDOM!" shouted the Dark Anmons as they began dropping their
stuff and running through. Eilam then leaped high into the air
and propelled himself through the air, leaving behind some
traces of smoke but de-cloaking himself in the process, jumping
towards the drill vehicle. He landed in front of the driver,
pulled out his swords, and beheaded the Anmon, causing its head
to fall down and spook the Anmons. The assassin then placed an
explosive charm on the drill, then leaped back and watched the
fireworks, pieces of the destroyed vehicle landed and crushed a
couple of his foes.
"Damn it! We were so close to escaping!" roared the furious
Anmon leader, with a fiery rage blazing from his eyes. "It's
inevitable to escape punishment... and death. Silver Cross Town
doesn't appreciate you pesky ants for stealing." Eilam chuckled
and glared at his foes, causing some Anmons to cower in fear.
"Kill him! KILL HIM!!" shouted the leader; a small wave rushed
at Eilam, as most were too scared to fight the assassin.
"Pointless..." Eilam quietly muttered as he darted towards his
enemies and readied himself.

"Did it work?"
"I think so, I'm under a tree off the sidewalk."
"According to your collar, your right where we sent you."
"That means it worked!"
"You got it!"
"Ahem?"
"Oh.. Right.. sorry."
"Don't be sorry. We had to use him as the test dummy."
"Hey!"
"Oh be quiet. You would've been okay if anything went wrong."
"Why didn't you go yourself then?"
"Because I'm still working on some stuff you idiot."
"Whatever. What do I do now?"
"I don't know. Go look around?."
"Okay."
"Be careful."
"I will."
Wolfie came out from under his tree and started walking around.
While he was walking people were pointing at him and whispering,
"Wow.. look at the size of that thing.."
"Where'd it come from?"
"Under that tree.."
"It wasn't there earlier."
"Maybe it was behind it..?"
"Where's its owner, that thing should be on a leash."
Wolfie twitched his ears in irritation. "I can hear you.. Stupid
humans." After walking for a few more minutes Wolfie was
starting to get really annoyed.
"I'm just going to lay down somewhere. Maybe if I look like I'm
sleeping they'll leave me alone."
Nearby Wolfie spots a tree and a wooden lamp post across a local
Inn. Deciding that was a perfect spot, Wolfie went under the
tree and made himself comfortable.
