Reiyanne Medli of Kanavan lost her sister many years ago
against horrifying dark beasts. Her cold, dark vengeance grows
each passing day, soon ready to unleash her anger into the
hearts of those who caused her pain. However, little does she
know her memory will soon haunt her once more...
Sunrise. A teenage boy walked along the street with a piece of
notepaper on his hand. He examined it carefully, and then the
houses nearby. Eventually, he rang the doorbell on one of the
houses. Soon, the door was opened by another male at the same
height equipped with grayish plate armor.
"Ahem! Are you Sir Aaron, uh, sir?" asked the boy.
"Yes. You are a Squire. What do you require from me?" the knight
responded, identifying the Squire due to his clothing and his
rank.
"Oh! I'm quite surprised on how you identified me so easily! In
any case, her majesty calls. I do not know what or why she
requires you, uh, sir."
"The Queen requests my aid? Hm, I have never been asked into her
majesty's hall. Please, lead the way."
Aaron followed the Squire into the Castle within Kanavan. They
walked into the castle until entering the Audience Hall.
"Sir, I may go no further. Her majesty awaits you, Sir Aaron."
the Squire said as he gestured Aaron. A thanks was given as the
knight walked into the hall.
"Welcome, Sir Aaron. I've heard of your duties amongst the
Kingdom." the Queen said in her throne. Aaron walked to her
chair and bowed for her majesty.
"I wish to serve the happiness of the citizens, 'tis my duty of
a knight." Aaron responded.
"Well spoken, sir. In any case..." she motioned Aaron to come
closer as if she were to whisper into his ear.
"I have received contact from Archimedia. They say that a dark,
horrid demon was sealed within the continent for many years, and
the seal had weakened over time. They asked that we and our
allied Kingdom Serdin send our top Magicians to help rebuild the
seal."
"Demons... I suppose you wish for me to protect the Magicians
from the creatures?"
"Very intelligent you are... Your father had recommended me for
you to take this task. Your knowledge of demonology is
astounding, according to him."
"If I must, I will gladly accept this task." Aaron bowed once
again.
"Indeed you shall. I have prepared your trip for the Albatross,
the airship that will travel to Archimedia straightaway. It will
leave in approximately an hour or two." the Queen said as she
handed him a ticket.
"May the divine blessings of Mistress Elesis, Lord Ronan, and
Lord Sieghart to carry you safely on your journey."
Aaron bowed once again and exited the Queen's chamber.

"Oh, Rei! Why don't you show just a little excitement?!" Lyra
whined. "Those Balrogs sound amazing and really strong! And I
know you like fighting!"
Lyra nudged the dark skinned girl who walked beside her
playfully. The girl, Reiyanne, didn't give even a hint of
acknowledgement. She walked on forward quietly and in deep
thought.
Balrogs...demons...that day long ago...could it be connect
somehow? she thought as she trudged forward, looking down at her
feet. Reiyanne sighed, thinking back to the time of her youth,
of her sister's death. Why...why do these beasts make me so
nostalgic...so scared and alone.
"REIYANNE! Wake up!" Lyra exclaimed, a bit irritated then threw
her hands in the air as though she were praising a god.
"Seriously! You need to lighten up!"
"Uh...," Reiyanne blinked and looked at her friend as though she
had just woken from a dream. "I'm sorry, Lyra...but, I really
don't see how you can be so cheerful..."
"Of course, I'm cheerful! I get to ride that awesome airship!
It's going to be so cool!" Lyra beamed and hugged herself,
twirling in an excited gesture, and giggling quietly. Reiyanne
blinked then smiled at her friend, At least, someone is happy.
The hadn't been walking long before approaching the large
vessel. Reiyanne and Lyra made small gasps of shock as they
stared on.
"Tickets, please?"
The two friends blinked and looked at the burly looking guard
before them.
"Oh! Oh yes, right here, sir!" Lyra said, presenting her ticket
with a smile. The guard took it and examined it looking at the
ticket and back to Lyra. Then with a nod, showing his approval
he stepped aside and allowed to blonde onboard. Lyra squealed,
"Alright!" and sprinted past the guard almost knocking him over.
Regaining his balance quickly he turned to Reiyanne.
"Now yours miss?"
"Yes, sir..." Reiyanne nodded and reached into her pockets. She
froze then checked her other pocket. "Um..." Reiyanne began to
sweat. "Please hang on, sir!" She bolted the other direction and
frantically began to search for the missing ticket. "Oh no oh no
oh no oh no...! I couldn't have lost it!" Defeated she fell to
her knees and groaned.

After dismissal from the Queen, he quickly went home. As he was
packing supplies and various potions, he explained to his mother
the situation he was put in.
"Archimedia... Also the land of where Demons had once derived
from..." his mother said sadly.
"Yes, mother. I'm afraid it has come to that." the son replied,
also sadly.
"These supplies, my knowledge of demonology, and Kanavan's
blessings will hopefully provide me the tools we need to
survive. Thank you, mother. And please, give my regards to Lily
and Amber; tell them not to worry."
Aaron hugged his mother and kissed her cheek good-bye as he
walked out. He quickly headed to the station, and was astonished
by the airship's design, thinking he may want to thank the
Dwarves for their gift. At the post, there were two ladies
confronting a guard. One gave her ticket and walked in, the
dark-skinned woman had trouble as if she had lost her ticket.
"Now yours miss?"
"Um... Please hang on, sir!" she said as she ran to another
direction and frantically searched for her missing ticket.
"Oh no oh no oh no oh no...! I couldn't have lost it!" groaned
the woman after falling on her knees.
"Excuse me. Are you trying to board the Albatross? You can have
my ticket." Aaron approached the woman and held out his only
ticket in front of her.

Reiyanne looked at the young man offering the ticket.
"Y-yes...but, sir...I" she said while shaking her head, "I can't
possibly take it."
She sighed again and stood up then said, "I...I'd really hate to
trouble anyone...really...but thank you for your kind and
gracious offer..." She looked down at her feet again sullenly,
feeling terrible about possibly missing the flight with her
friend.

"I would not be troubled if you accept the ticket. Please, take
the ticket, and perhaps you would repay me later." Aaron told
the lady who refused his offer.
"Such kindness offered by a knight..." a low-toned voice said.
Aaron turned his head and looked at the guard who happened to
show up.
"It's not common for one to give to another. For that case, I
will allow the knight to enter for his generosity while the miss
can enter using his ticket." the guard offered.
"I will humbly accept, if the lady chooses to."

Reiyanne blinked then nodded, taking the ticket slowly from his
hands.
"...thank you..." she murmured in a low voice. She smiled at him
shyly and after presenting to the ticket to the guard she
climbed aboard the ship.
"REIYANNE!" Lyra exclaimed dragging along a young boy behind
her. "What took you?!"
"I had some problem with my tickets, " she said quickly then
smiled. "Thankfully, a kind gentleman offered me his."
"Aww, so sweet! Was it Rapier?" Lyra smirked at her teasingly.
"N-NO!" Reiyanne gasped then quickly covered her mouth with her
hands.
Lyra giggled and pushed the boy infront of her, "well then,
Reiyanne, guess who we have here!"
Instantly recognizing the little boy, Reiyanne kneeled down and
pulled him for a hug. "Blue!" she exclaimed. "I'm so happy to
see you, but what are you doing here?"
Blue hugged her back and cried, "I'm sorry, Reiya! You left your
ticket back there...and I wanted to give it to you...I swear!"
"Oh, it's okay, Blue!"
Lyra groaned and gave them an irritated look, "Hey Rei...you
don't ever forgive me that easily..."

The lady thanked Aaron in a murmur along with a shy smile. She
boarded the ship, and her "girlfriend" appeared and shouted her
name. A short conversation occured, and she presented a young
boy. Aaron payed very little attention to that.
The airship Albatross soon took off. Aaron spotted a huddled
group of soldiers on the ship's front and one of them motioned
him.
"Sir Aaron, you've came." the soldiers said.
"Are we discussing plans?" Aaron asked his fellow Kanavan
troops.
"The Magician part of the group is to reseal the demon, while
the rest of us form around to protect them. If that fails, we
have no choice but to go all-out on the beast." the Lieutenant
soldier said.
"A simple, yet common plan. I think we should discuss this with
the other groups when we get there. We do not know what we are
facing..." Aaron responded. The soldiers nodded in agreement.
Fifteen minutes later, about halfway through the travel, the
feeling of wind had changed. This had put Aaron in caution, as
this means a bad sign. Suddenly, a black sphere struck a portion
of the Albatross like a guided missile. The skies turned bloody
red and several dark gorilla-like humanoid beasts using their
wings to reach the airship prepared to lay siege.
"Crimson Balrogs... Part of the Demonic Forces. I had thought
they were once vanquished from this world. Does it relate to the
seal?" Aaron told himself.
The soldiers prepared for battle. One Crimson Balrog shot a dark
sphere at a soldier. The attack was successful and had paralyzed
him. The same beast then generated lightning which eliminated
the remaining soldiers aside from Aaron and damaged a section of
the ship. Aaron used his crescent blades in retaliation, hitting
the Balrog as it was attacking. The creature roared angrily and
fired another dark sphere which was evaded.

Reiyanne scanned the ship and noticed the group of armored
individuals.
"Knights!" she whispered. She contemplated moving closer but
then shook the idea away. It was obvious to her that they were
busy. She then noticed the young man from before join them. She
blinked as her heart race, thinking back to how he helped her
before. Oh! Silly, Reiyanne, your first oppurtunity to meet a
knight and you let your shyness get in the way! she scolded
herself mentally. Sir Aaron, I will remeber that, my debt to
you. Smiling, she shrugged then quickly rejoined her friends.
The three friends had quickly settled on the ship. Lyra,
Reiyanne and Blue, nobody in their group expected things to
change so quickly. In only a short time the ship was struck and
fiercesome humanoid beasts began to lay siege upon the airship.
"Oh dear! Blue come with me!" Lyra exclaimed taking his hand.
"Wow...what are those?" Blue asked awe-struck.
"DANGEROUS! Now let's get you someplace safe!"
"Wait, what about, Reiya?!"
"Reiyanne can handle herself, now let's go!"
As Lyra dragged the boy along inside the ship she took one last
glance at Reiyanne. Reiyanne, as though hypnotized, charged at
the beasts with her hammer. With one great swing she had knocked
out many out of the skies. A Balrog, noticing her back turn shot
a sphere from behind. Reiyanne sensed this and narrowly leapt
out of the way, then rushed at the beast and struck at it in
retaltiation and stunned it. Breathing hard she noticed the
demons preparing to attack, Aaron. In another instant she leapt
to him, standing back to back and bracing herself for an
onslaught.

Aaron climbed up the ship's mast and jumped off with his blade
sticking outward, shouting "Devastating Blow!" as he struck down
on one of the Balrog's heads. The forceful attack combined with
gravity happened to have severely damaged the creature, causing
it to fall out of the sky. The knight turned his head and saw
the female lady from before, now armed with a Mace and a Shield,
engaging her own combat. She quickly leaped by Aaron as she saw
the Balrogs had begun to redirect most of their attacks on him.
"Lady Reiyanne, is it not? Your fighting techniques are rather
impressive." Aaron told the lady beside him.
"Incoming!"
He quickly pushed Reiyanne aside and took the hit from an
oncoming overhead lightning. His left shoulder armor was heavily
damaged, but thanks to the effects of the armor, he was not
paralyzed unlike the defenseless soldiers. In retaliation, he
climbed the mast again and leaped off, firing five powerful
crescent blades, yelling "Moon Blade Dance!". This had given
seven Crimson Balrogs out of the many a broken wing.

"Gah!" Reiyanne cried after she was pushed. Quickly regaining
her balance, she quickly swung around to see the the knight's
armor brutally damage at the shoulder. She wasn't able to thank
him for the assistance, because in another moment another Balrog
had set upon her. Thankfully she had discarded the hammer and
the beast had slammed against her shield but the impact sent her
skidding back.
"OW! What exactly are these...things?!" she exclaimed as she
backflipped and stomped one on the back of its head, sending it
spiralinh out of control and straight into another Balrog. She
let out a yell as another Valrog struck her squarely on the back
with a blast of lightning. Still standing but in pain she swung
around and glared at her attacker. "Of all the times, I wish I
had armor..." she growled as the beast flung itself at her.
Just inches from impact the Balrog was knocked out of the air.
Two glowing arrows had pierced through its wings and deep into
its back. Reiyanne blinked then watched another beast preparing
to attack Aaron shot down just as precisely.
"Blue...you never give Lyra a break do you?" she smiled as she
caught sight of him perched carefully on a mast. Reinvigorated
and ignoring the pain she rushed shield-first into another group
of Balrogs.
