       Maisie is Hel's aunt on her mothers side of the family and like
       Vicky ( her aunt on her fathers side ), she is also more of a
       mother to her than Grace. Maisie is still close with her sister,
       Grace, and is somewhat of the messenger between mother and
       daughter, because neither will communicate with one another in
       one verse. Grace left Harvey when Helene was only small and his
       resentment of the woman submerged with his daughters own
       loathing toward her as well ( though Helene does eventually give
       in to temptation when her mother returns to put the broken
       pieces back together ). Maisie and Vicky grew close as well over
       the years and more often than not, the two older women drop in
       on Helene on her days off and take her out for lunch or
       shopping. Vicky has always been the one who prefers lunch,
       whereas Maisie likes to shop, a lot, preferably for home decor
       as opposed to clothing and the like. She has a very unyielding
       love of rose gold ( anything she see's in stores of this
       particular colour will be considered for the shopping trolley,
       otherwise it's a pass and she finds something mint green instead
       ). Helene often has a trying time getting her aunt to buy
       anything obscure, as she is also very particular about buying '
       normal ', ' everyday ' type products. She won't stray from this,
       even for her favourite colours. In the kitchen, she is quite
       skilled with stews and casserole and is generally the one in the
       family whom cooks up the Christmas dinner every year, Helene or
       Vicky lending a hand with dessert. She loves to read and has a
       small library collection of books in one room of her house. She
       also loves making homemade soap, as well as ceramic jars and
       beading.
