These two I have already given mention to on and off of tumblr,
but mostly there in brief posts where Helene has either
interacted with them in drabbles or mentioned them by name to
someone else. I have explored the relationship between the three
of them pretty extensively and because Joshua is a bit closer in
age to Hel ( them being born the same year ), he seems to be the
one that she gets along with in a more brotherly type of way.
Jesse she does absolutely get along with also, but he's more
rough around the edges than Joshua and less of a pushover when
it comes to her safety / health / lifestyle i.e. dating habits.
Josh looks more deeply into situations and Jess acts abrubtly
and out of anger, his response being an emotional one and
therefore too drastic and nothing like his cousin or brother.
Josh can walk away from any given scenario because he deems it
not suitable for retaliation and will always prefer words over
fists; Jess is the complete opposite. Jess inherited the darker
side of his personality from his father and Helenes uncle,
Billy, whom was for a time a prison guard some years before his
son's were born. Helene loves them both equally, but has a
different relationship with both brothers. But, it's only one of
them that is capable of challenging her offensive boyfriends
enough to scare them off. Joshua tries, but his tactic of being
all mouth and no fighting doesn't work very well for him with
most of the men in her life, namely one; Cassian. Fortunately,
he turned to Jesse for help with that one and as is also
fortunate, Jess hasn't yet gotten his hands on him; Helene
doesn't much like the idea of her cousin being locked up and
understands her uncle also would not appreciate such a phone
call.
