       The 90's Thread

       In my search on Buzzfeed I stumbled across this lovely little
       page and couldn't help myself. I distinctly remember watching
       the Muppet Babies, Marsupalami, and Snick, reading those books (
       I think I've still got them ) eating half that crap, good grief
       it's a wonder, and beating the crap out of my cousin at not only
       Nintendo but N64 as well. I've still got the scar from where he
       walloped me with the controller. Any of these bring back
       memories for you?

       Aha! thank you for sharing this link. I love buzzfeed for
       finding fun things to read through, or just for taking the
       quizzes sometimes if I'm really bored.
       I actually have no idea what half of those things are, but
       that's likely because a great many seem to be American only :D I
       do remember a select few, though, especially Muppet Babies! and
       of course Super Soakers, which we ended up going through a whole
       shed full because we used them so much, they ended up broken
       after not very long. Also remember Squeezits as I was a huge fan
       and always had to have one every day.. I actually think they
       brought these back here not too long ago, so I may need to pop
       out and buy one just to see if it's as good as it used to be.
       And last but not least !! gameboys; I absolutely loved these and
       I had a transparent purple one, with the Pokemon game and a
       little Sabrina the Teenage Witch game.

       Ahh! Supersoakers were where it was at! ( oh lord did I just
       type that? yup, I did. ) it's true though, they never ever
       lasted.  Gameboys! I wanted one in the worst possible way but
       never got one, ha. I did however have a knock off version of it
       thanks to disney's Beauty and Beast. From what I can remember
       from it was sort of like a frogger/Super Mario type thing and
       you played as bell. It was this sort of bright pink and light
       purple and it weighed a freaking ton. We're talking some heavy
       duty kid proof plastic. You lucky duck with the Squeezeits! Let
       me know how they are. I can remember also drinking Hi-C Ecto
       Cooler and eating dunkeroos. All that sugar, it's a wonder my
       mother could keep me contained. I also inherited the Mall
       Shopping Spree game from my cousin who had for like two seconds
       and got board with it. Bless Buzzfeed and their sense of
       nostalgia.
       It's amazing to look back on all this type of stuff and think
       "holy crap, I had that and now look at how much it costs." Also,
       I have no idea what Pauly Shore wasn't mentioned in their
       nostalgia section. His humor and movies were a huge part of my
       growing up and I still can't help but chuckle when someone says
       "Hey Buuuuddy." Son in Law, Bio-Dome, and Encino Man were my top
       three. Also, what about Brendan Fraser and Jim Carrey? Dumb and
       Dumber, Ace Venture I and II and George of the Jungle were two
       movies I drove my parents nuts by begging to rent every time we
       went to Block Buster. Oddly enough those titles were the ones I
       recommended the most to people looking for a laugh when I worked
       there. ( good grief it's a wonder I had that job for as long as
       I did. )
       *side note: For some strange reason growing up I had my mind
       made up that when I went away to college I was going to find my
       very own Crawl. Never happened and I can't help but think my
       parents are somehow just the teeny tiniest bit relieved.*  :D
