The Walk of Life

A/N : My last piece ( still a WIP by the way ) really got me
thinking about what if Anne had settled down with that fine man
named Greg, what would their life together be like? Would they
have become a couple of young upwardly mobile people and started
a cute little family? Here's the end result that delves a little
deeper into just how they came to be a couple and how it could
have gone had they stuck together. The playlist is just
something I threw together when I tried to think of the music
that would most likely be in their record collection. P.S. Greg
and Anne's wedding song is Sailing and Pete and Gwen's is Warm
and Beautiful by Wings. :)

Summary:
"Stay on the straight and narrow." they said - so they did. "Get
married." - they did. Now, with grad and medical school staring
these two newlyweds down they've decided that lo and behold they
wouldn't mind a child or two, no one told them how hard that
part of life was going to be. Are they prepared to make
necessary sacrifices in order to have 'everything' or will they
be content with what they've been blessed with? A true love that
many never quite find in their lifetime.

You have spent so much time on their homes and the way you've
presented them there looks beautiful like.. omg, sorry, I am
actually in awe of how they look and I need to learn a thing or
two from you 'cause I can't even attempt that - even in
photoshop. I love the playlist as well and every song on it ++ I
especially loved their wedding songs! I look forward to seeing
the polyvores that will be added along the way, but really, what
you've done with the sets for their homes is really beautiful
and I'd like to live in both of those ;]

Ahh! Thank you so much! Wolfy dear, let me hug you. I’m so glad
you liked the post! Realty websites come in very handy for the
houses though. ;) There are actually a few architecture blogs
that are dedicated to searching for places that haven't really
changed since they were built. I think the the house I used for
the Gradys is somewhere out in Arizona or California. I thought
it would fit them because they're non conformists, very modern
thinkers. Although, I have to admit that for Gwen and Pete’s
place I was inspired by my aunt’s house believe it not. It was
built in late ‘79 or early ‘80 and it never changed the entire
time she lived there we’re talking like 99 or 2000 but it worked
for her. All parkay flooring and bone white tile, I really wish
I had photos from her place, or at least the color scheme. (
lots of mauve and lilac and white. She bragged to anyone that
would listen that she had it professionally decorated. ::) )
But for the Welshs I went with something that was a bit more
traditional, almost cookie cutter, it seems to fit them. Decor
wise it looks like Anne just went with what she felt most
comfortable with and could cajole Greg into helping her put up
the wall paper on the weekend. Inspired by and borrowed from the
great John Hughes movie She's Having a Baby. ( feel free to slap
me for mentioning it again, but it's really worth a watch if not
for some of the humor or sheer 80's cheese factor but Kevin
Bacon alone. ) Sorry this is so long winded but I just wanted to
give you a proper thank you for sticking by my writing. *hugs*
I'll get to those Polyvores asap for you! ;D
