Call me partial to a certain character who may just be a member
of our lovely board but I couldn't help myself. I've really got
to order another copy of the DVD. Just to relive the film. ;D
So, my question at the moment is this, favorite scene or
       Jackieism?
Oh and a video that might just fit Mr. Flannery :)

I feel like a fool for not responding to this sooner, but as
Jackie is currently my most active muse, I feel the need to
       answer!
       There are actually many scenes in State Of Grace that I love;
the whole film is a masterpiece, really. But the one that always
stands out for me is the church scene.
Midway through the film, when Jackie is still distraught over
the death of Stevie and Terry and Kathleen find him there, a
drunken and sobbing mess. It breaks my heart to watch that bit
       but it's so beautifully done.
How about you? Which is your favourite scene? or Jackie moment?

I'm so so so sorry for not answering this sooner! I know the
exact scene you're talking about and have to say that it's
easily one of favorites. Quite right about the entire movie
being a masterpiece but theres something about seeing this gruff
tough loose cannon of a man being so open and vulnerable like
Jackie was. I always thought of it as no matter what Frankie had
him do Jackie was truly his own person; he had a heart and he
had emotions. Gah, it still gets me.
Another favorite of mine is in the beginning when Terry goes
back to Hell's Kitchen and meets up with Jackie and Jackie's
going on about how "Hell's Kitchen ain't even home anymore. They
call it Clinton now." You can hear in his voice this total
disdain for the change, like he's lost a part of himself
       somehow.
How is your dear muse holding up? I've been meaning to ask you
my dear! I'm sending you both lots and lots of love! <3 :-D

I think that's one of the most lovable things about him to be
honest and he will always be right up there with my favourites
because of it. The grieving scene really was beautifully done
and Gary, of course, made it his own. When he falls down and
actually puts his hands together to pray, I deal with it pretty
well, but then.. when he drops his head completely and just
starts sobbing, I lose all control.
I love that scene at the beginning of the film! really is one of
the best. I especially love the bit where he shows Terry the
frozen hands.. that laugh he does kills me every single time.
It's just gold, the whole thing. I also love the scene in which
they're waiting for Frankie to come out of a "negotation" of
sorts with Borelli. It makes me pretty ill, really - because
although Frankie is reluctant, he agrees to off his brother and
while all that's going on, Jackie is losing his mind thinking
something has happened to his big brother and I just...
Jackie is a bit on the quiet side at the moment but I'm sort of
encouraging him to open up a little with a few pints of carling
and thus far, it's working. I'll have my first update ready by
this evening! how about your new muse? :D I hope things are
       running smoothly <33
